Addicks to face Chelsea

Charlton Athletic Women take on Chelsea at home next week in the FA Cup. The match takes place on Sunday, January 26th at 2pm at VCD Athletic, Crayford, DA1 4DN

There's no men's game with the Fulham game postponed and we would really like to have home backing as Chelsea will bring a lot of fans.

It's the perfect way to see some of the best women's players with many of the Lionesses and other World Cup players in action in the match

Please come show your support in a big match and spread the word

  • Hope they put up a good show. Exciting but challenging game for them.
  • Yeah ..... go and support the Women's team if you can.

    Good luck, girls!

  • Good luck Steve!

Also hope that the womens team can benefit from new ownership, even though there is no direct tie between the two.
  • Tickets for the match are selling well but we still need more Charlton fans there. We are highly recommending buying in advance as it's cheaper and will guarantee a place should a mad rush come.

We would love to see Charlton fans pack out the women's stadium more and more. Sheffield United recently got two games in a row with over 1000+ in their women's stadium (not at the main men's ground) and I would love to see our game get over 1000 in the crowd, as well as see more fans support us throughout the season. It would be great to see as many of you there for this and other games this season.
  • Chelsea are 3rd in the Womens Super League and 1 point behind joint leaders Man City and Arsenal with a game in hand

    HT score

    Charlton 0-1 Chelsea

So close to holding them to 0-0 in the first half but Chelsea finally make their dominance pay off
  • ended up 4-0 ,sucker punch of a goal,30secs if that into the 2nd half...(proper Charlton like)...after that Chelsea as expected dominated, but our girls never dropped there heads...& kept at it with with some good last ditch tackling, putting bodies in the way & a few saves from our keeper...we didn’t trouble there keeper all through game...but despite that, the girls who ended up with a few more injuries, were not disgraced at all,the more experienced team deservedly one...at least we can concentrate on the league now...😉

  • went yesterday and was a decent game, my daughter enjoyed meeting the players after who came across for photo's / autographs etc.

Nice little ground at VCD had over 800 in there yesterday but looks like it could hold double that now, last time I played there was before they turned the pitch round
