Fancy writing for the programme?

The museum have a column in the matchday magazine (no VAT on magazines, 20% on programmes in case you wondered what the difference is).

400 to 500 words on a topic vaguely historical.

Just has to be any good.

Inbox me.

No different to McVities branding Jaffa Cakes as a cake so they didn't have to pay VAT.

    I blame the EU. :*

A jaffa cake is a cake not a biscuit. The clue is in the name.

There is no difference between calling something a programme or a magazine.
  • Magazines are zero-rated for VAT.  Football programmes are zero-rated for VAT.
  • I'll make a start Henry

The museum is a load of rubbish, bollocks to history. All that old junk should be thrown out into a skip, we should be looking to the future when the mighty Greenwich Ubers are competing in the Global Super League against the Manchester Google, Samsung Madrid and Huawei Beijing Soccerstars.

English might be a safe bet.

Not angry at all, just calling it out for what it is - absolute bullshit.

Because he was off his nut last night and he’s too old to do 2 nights on the trot!

But he’s right on both points. Not the first time our ‘Enry  has been pulled up on tax matters but as always he knows best.

And a Bombay duck isn't a duck.  Nor, for that matter, is a Bombay oyster an oyster.  Dutch courage and going Dutch / Dutch treat are, however, both Dutch, meaning bad in these cases.
  • And the Belgian tosspot is both Belgian and a tosspot
  • Still looking for articles
  • Got a great article from a lifer last night which I'm sending on to @Ollywozere today.

    Still hoping to get more.
  • The first article by a lifer will be in the programme on Saturday.

    And it's a good one.

    More still required.

Gonna have to ask this based on the writers name but which Lifer wrote this article? - Strange question I know but my Nan was a Hollingsworth, doesnt seem a very common surname...

I'll let them reveal themselves if they wish
  • No thats understandable Henry...
  • Nice one @9goalswentpastperry. Nicely written, properly geeky, nostalgic and affectionate about the club. Good work feller!
  • Disappointed at the lack of pictures of the actual train to Barnsley.

I’ll do a write up all the good things from Yesterday’s game. Just copy and paste from here, I don’t want paying either. Here goes....

Pearce was substituted at half time and Hemed ran off the pitch like Usain Bolt desperate for a number 2.
