My Senior Vets game still on. Can’t imagine it will be a good game to watch. Actually, it’s never good to watch!
Every time someone refers to playing in the wind I have nightmares of the rare occasions I had to play in goal - and was beaten twice from drop kicks by the opposition keeper!!!
Just taken the dogs out to do their business, and it’s not pleasant! they normally love their walk, but they did their business and both turned for home So well trained, they won’t do it in the garden.

I opened the back door so mine could do his morning pee, he got about a foot from the door then gave me a look of disgust and decided he didn’t need to go quite yet.

Out with Magnus, didn’t go to Bostall Woods, three laps of fanny, instead.

Our keeper is injured and I am the back up. I have made my excuses up already and won’t be leaving the goal line when their keeper has a goal kick!

Being "out with Magnus" and "three laps of fanny" are I suppose one way of putting it.

Back in about 70/71 up on Plumstead common I played as an emergency goalie during a howling storm. In the first half and playing in to the wind, I took a goal kick and gave it my hardest kick. The bloody ball went up in the air, blew back over my head and in to the net for an own goal! Paul Walsh was in our team that day

My two went out in the garden to do their business and didn’t seem too fussed by the wind. Going to try and take one out for a walk in a short while. I know the other one won’t come so I won’t bother trying.
Just ran 14 miles in it!!... Jesus wept the conditions are a bastard out there, was virtually running on the spot at times as struggled against the headwind at times
We have 2 recently sold houses (owned by very old people who passed away so houses barely have electricity) both undergoing extensive renovations and therefore have rubbish skips on their drives. Today as I lay on the sofa watching the cricket. The skips are taking it in turns to empty their load up in the air and along the street. An actual ‘lean to’ just flew past. I feel like Dorothy Gale.
If you didn’t live in a house you own, but have a skip and knew there was ‘a bit of wind’ you’d take steps to make friends with your new neighbours and not risk smashing their windows or their actual person and tie everything down?
There are actual lose bits of wood from door frames now flying down the road.
