Saw in the media that Joelinton at Newcastle cost £43 million, and Steve Bruce has said that he is not a natural goalscorer. Lyle put in a total Centre Forward performance and I can easily see interest in him from Prem clubs. He said on the ***Counter Attack podcast that playing/scoring in the Premiership is the last thing to do on his career bucketlist. Unfortunately, I think we only have until the end of the season to enjoy his skills and what he brings to the club. But I don't think any of us can begrudge him an opportunity like that!

Said before and say it again, he deserves to play in the Premier League, I just hope it’s with us and we show real ambition for that to happen.
I can't remember the break very well, which I think may have come after Deji lost the ball in a dangerous position. However it happened, these attacking positions are notoriously hard to defend against, just look at Lapslie's goal for us as an example.
Maybe Matthews thinks Lockyer might have the ball across the box covered and has gambled on covering the cut back. Either way teams counterattack with such pace and skill these days, and in a position where the attacking team are essentially 4 on 3 you would expect them to score often then not.
Lockyer clearly has to leave his man as the winger is in behind and Matthews is therefore outnumbered 3 to 1.
Watch it back again and see just how little effort Sarr makes to recover after they get behind him. It’s pretty shameful. He may be excellent technically, but you will never persuade me that he can be a top defender. Just watch it.
