    Where you seen this?
    She replied to a post on SE7 Valiants saying we don’t need Varney as Nimer’s brought in a CEO. When asked who she confirmed it was Claudiu Florica.
    Hell's teeth! This could be going from bad to worse 😡.

    In which case we need a statement from Nimer, re Florica's money laundering and bribery scheme, explaining why he is the man to "run" Charlton.
    Agreed, and CAST  would need to immediately bring the appointment to the attention of the EFL.
    You think they might miss it?

    And the EFL will say "Nah, it'll be fine!"

  • If there is no conviction, I can't see what the EFL would do. We really do have to wait and see here. Not for long, it will become apparent soon enough if something is badly wrong.

    Well, based on the Cellino precedent, that is quite possible. However since then they have come under increasing scrutiny, and if they did choose to brush it off, that might well be of media interest.
  • Oh wow. If this guy gets involved then we really are heading for the promised land.

    Unbelievable.

    See below Elfs, what I posted yesterday on the main "bonkers" thread

    This article from a Romanian sport newspaper (need Google Translate, of course) sheds some light.

    Florica has some personal interest in football. This article describes how he was involved in a private academy which was linked to Rapid Bucharest (where CAST has a link, which i will follow up). It seems that Florica dissolved Rapid 's association with the academy, and as a result Rapid lost a lot of youngsters whom they thought were 'theirs". The academy had an association with Atletico Madrid, which was dissolved at the time this move happened. The article notes that Florica's own son was on this academy, and he was transferred to Amiens for €200,000. The article then goes on to discuss Florica's interest in buying Dinamo. Mihail acts for Florica and spoke to the reporter instead of Florica himself.

    Draw your own conclusions. I drew mine some time ago about Claudiu Florica, and this article didn't help change them.

    Update posted on the radio Dinamo site on 15th April, potentially interesting as contains quotes from Mihail the lawyer on the CAFC board. (nb. The situation at Dinamo has moved on a lot since this article with a spanish investor expected to enter an agreement with Ionut Negoita (Dinamo majority owner) this coming week);

    https://dinamo1948.club/de-ce-nu-s-a-ajuns-pana-acum-la-o-intelegere-intre-grupul-reprezentat-de-florica-si-ionut-negoita/

    "Dinamo needs a new majority shareholder, but so far all negotiations have stalled and have not been completed.

    At this moment, the most interested in taking over the club are those from the ABDB group, led by Tahnoon Nimer, represented in Romanai by Claudiu Florica and Marian Mihail. The latter was recently appointed to Charlton Athletic's board of directors, but says it does not affect the takeover of Dinamo. He also said why no integration has been reached so far:

    "The offer from Mr. Florica's partners exists. If we were appointed to Charlton Athletic, it does not mean that the Dinamo track was closed. I have a very close relationship with Mr. Florica, both professionally and personally. At the moment, I am involved in the Dinamo project as a lawyer. I analyze, I give some opinions. Even in the current context, we are still working and "crunching" the documents. He never really got stuck, no one gave up. There were some deadlocks on both sides, there was always something else.

    Now, there is also this temporary situation: me less, but Claudiu is also paying attention to Charlton ", pointed out Marian Mihail for Gazeta Sportulor

    "I am not happy to enter into a possible war of statements on the topic launched by Mr. Ionut Negoita. I am still willing to take over Dinamo, with foreign business partners, and the discussions will continue in peace. At least that's what I want. Our offer remains open ”Claudiu Florica

    "Everyone is crowding to take over Dinamo, I don't know what offer to choose… Unfortunately, seriously now, nothing has materialized! Spell and that's it. Gargaragii. I am determined to give the remaining 82 percent of the shares for the amount of 1 leu. Not only 51 percent, as much as I wanted initially, but as much as I still have "  said Negoita a few days ago."

    Some work in progress, trying to get some context to Florica's involvement with Nimer, which i will suggest is via Ana-Maria Prodan, the football agent and wife of Laurențiu Reghecampf

    Florica teamed up with Anamaria Prodan Reghecampf when looking to invest in FC Arges in around April 2019.
    https://www.gsp.ro/fotbal/liga-2/exclusiv-anamaria-prodan-la-fc-arges-bomba-impresarul-si-claudiu-florica-trimis-in-judecata-in-dosarul-microsoft-la-un-pas-sa-investeasca-discutii-avansate-564441.html

    In August 2019 it was reported (not so convincingly), that Florica was going to bring both Prodan and her husband with him to Dinamo, while also trying to secure a '$20m foreign investment';
    https://www.fanatik.ro/claudiu-florica-ii-vrea-la-dinamo-pe-anamaria-prodan-si-pe-reghecampf-19041671

    Earlier this year she told the press that Florica was involved with Nimer (January 2020) in an attempt to takeover Dinamo and that Florica was also involved at that time in our takeover. So it has played out.  So there is historical connection of Florica with Prodan. (the story breaking is of course covered - to a limited extent- at https://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/87959/tahnoon-interested-in-buying-dinamo-bucharest/p2)

    Proban's husband who she married in 2008, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauren%C8%9Biu_Reghecampf) manages Al- Wasl in Dubai since 2018. Wiki states their main rivals are Al Nassr and Al Ain so Nimer would know of him.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Wasl_F.C. Before that he managed Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi, owned by Diab Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan- so again Nimer would have awareness if not a connection, and i should imagine if they had executive areas Prodan would have met Nimer there, or created awareness among Romanian contacts including Florica that 'sheikh related opportunities' existed there.

    There seems to be regular and cheap flights between UAE and Romania which could explain the apparent web of connectivity between the countries (others can confirm- i am not a flyer!).

    On possible connection to RD, Prodan previously called Duchatelet a 'difficult man' at the time George Tucudean was being up for a move to Steaua Bucharest (January 2015). Interesting reference to Richard Murray in there too- Duchatelet's man doing player deals

    I think Prodan is a proven piece of the network and possible facilitator for Florica in his association with Nimer.

    Aren't the cheap and regular flights between AD and Romania something to do with what took Nimer there in the first place?

    I am sure that was mentioned at the start of this?
