I just came to post similar things to @Henry Irving! While the club shop is missing out both the museum and CAST are selling much better merch, why not give them some support
It's been great to see so many fans wearing the Addicks' Top, as well as the Che Hales tees - seems to have spurred people to dig out their old Che Hales tops from 2004!

CAST merch can be ordered HERE👉 https://castrustorg.etsy.com/
Really good quality tops and hoodies, and fast shipping once they've been printed!

ALL PROFITS GO BACK INTO FAN ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES TOO
  • It’s clear that when this point of the year hits there’s no stock left from this season, there’s no stock yet for next season, so there is a void to fill to try and take advantage of bigger crowds and new visitors by having something to flog and capitalise on that. Thats all understandable.

There were a load of ‘UTA’ t shirts being worn last week by mainly foreign visitors, most I assume wouldn’t have a clue what UTA stood for.  I guessed that was a rushed out cheap bulk load to fill that gap and it seems some of this other stuff is as well. But stuff like the Charlton FC one below just looks as cheap and awful as you could possibly get. One hell of a mark up though at £20!

That’s horrible. Where’s the bloody apostrophe?!

No they go to the museum or CAST so to either support the preservation of our history or to help with work directly with fans

No, to the museum which is a registered charity.
  •  Ah, OK. Out of curiosity, what kind of work do they do with fans? I get the museum position.

Plenty to read about here:  http://www.castrust.org/

There was a Q&A this week with Gavin Carter and Ed Warwick and a fan sticker book and exhibition recently too

Plus the geezer opposite the shop.

He's been with us since the Premier League days, and a good lad as well.

    Sale on for the Play-offs

Hate the Charlton FC branding on those t-shirts.
It’s a good job we’ve got a Charlton Athletic fan, Gavin Carter, on the board who can stress that fans won’t be happy with this.

May Carter be our next Peter Varney.

CAST use the profits to fund fan engagement initiatives.

Recently, we have run multiple subsidised coaches to away games in memory of Seb Lewis, as well as the most recent one being to the Women’s Team game vs Bristol City.

Additionally, CAST also runs ‘TICKETBANK’ that can provide tickets to Addicks who have fallen on hard times or those who can no longer afford to attend games.

Webinars and Q&As also cost the supporters trust to run, as well as sponsoring MODMag to help fanzines (best in the UK 2024😏) continue to provide the great Content it does
