Presumably lots of clubs have supporters trusts. Any examples of membership numbers for any of the more prominent ones?
Don't have much up to date info but even at around 1K members we were among the bigger ones. Bolton got 5K when they launched their Trust in a time of crisis. Will see what we can find out but bear with us as there's quite a bit going on just now.
In view of the perilous situation of the club, I am not only delighted but also very relieved to see this growth in membership.
Whatever gripes some people may have with it, CAST is the only properly constituted representation the fans have if push comes to shove in dealings with the owners, EFL, HMRC, receivers/administrators, or whoever. And as already recently indicated by Southall a few days ago, the first hostile question CAST would be likely to receive from outside organisations could be how they justify their claim to represent the fans.
Clearly the larger the membership, the firmer the ground on which CAST stands. While having a large membership compared with other professional clubs would be a sound argument, having a membership which equates to a good percentage of the average gate this season would be ever better. And as a family club, where many children (& other halves) attend matches, it seems to me entirely justifiable to include them in the numbers.
Must be moving towards 2,100 now. Sign up all your kids.
I know my dear old Dad who died 5 years ago close to age 95 would have loved the thought of being a member from beyond the grave but suspect his email address is no longer active!

Signing my late dad up crossed my mind. Maybe it's a thought to hold for the eventuality of any future fundraising - some kind of memory roll.
Thank you to all the CAST newcomers and returners!
I was a member when the Trust started. Didn't renew my membership after a year. But have renewed it now. I would urge as many Charlton fans to sign up. We are stronger together.
Sorry if already mentioned, but what's the highest level of membership in the Trust's history?
Never been as high as this before - currently 2113.
I thought you had joined twice last week, Bob...
My renewal failed without realising because I'd changed paypal accounts - then renewed on the new paypal account after being harassed remorselessly ;-)
The more members CAST has the louder its voice will be, all those that formed and or supported the likes of CARD and ROT and WAR and the Belgian 20 etc should now be members of CAST as they are our best way of keeping CAFC alive.

So, thank you CAST for all you are doing.

2,105 members now.

2,111 when I looked about an hour ago.

Really pleased with the total now, as somebody said " together we are stronger. "
Onward and upwards.
