    Sad news if not surprising.

I used to see her in Blackheath occasionally way back when.

Bloody hell I used to "love" her.
    I can't believe she was 83.
    RIP Jill.

Loved The Gentle Touch, especially the haunting theme tune. Remember hearing her say that she had never passed her driving test so all the car scenes just showed her either pulling away or pulling up, never in a moving car.

    RIP.

Nothing wrong with having a crush on a younger woman Bob.

Especially after seeing her in the buff in one of the confessions films.

R.I.P. Jill. Sad to end her life with dementia, but will be remembered for The Gentle Touch and much more.

Had dementia for 10 years apparently - very sad. Hope she has found peace. RIP

Blimey, a name from the past.  Surprised she was 83 but then again, I'm getting on a bit too.  RIP.

So sad that she (and her family) had to endure that awful disease for so long. RIP Ms Gascoine.

Briefly met her once a long time ago, charming and  gracious lady, lived in the house  just around the corner from  the Hare and Billet. Very sad that she had her illness, which until now  I had not known.
