Dave had a quadruple heart bypass in St Barts last Monday (11th) and incredibly he went home to Ashford on Friday (15th)....he’s 78!
He’s a real card with a great sense of humour and a great golfing enthusiast well known at CAFC golfing tours and tournaments. He was also a share holder in the ill fated scheme of a few years back.
He used to own Ashford Garage Equipment, who supplied garage equipment of all descriptions to the trade.
Was a privately entered TT motor cyclist and came third and fourth in several Isle of Man TT races back in the day......would no doubt have gone much further in the sport had he have joined a works team.
Well known to many fans in the lounges, ex Alleyn’s pupil and owns a beautiful rare Aston Martin. Been a season ticket holder for donkeys years and saw Hans Jepson and Sam Bartram play.
Get well soon Dave and let’s see you back at your beloved Valley ASAP.
