Quite happy with that team. I think we will be quite cagey and bring on some firepower in the second half if we are still in the game. Bonne was shite last week and I’d be tempted to put Green or Davison up front with Hemed but Bowyer can’t do that as it will shaft Bonne’s confidence if he gets dropped and I think he’s a confidence sort of player. If he’s shite again today though.....
I'm assuming that a lot of the team selection is down to fitness levels post-break. Which is fine by me as I think a fit team can give you a larger than usual boost in these initial games.
QPR concede so many goals though - is there such a need to be cagey?
And I'm not even sure we're being cagey right with this selection. I just hope that come full-time I'm not writing something along the lines of 'the starting Xi was perfect for a bunfight against a poor Hull side with a static attack, but was woefully outclassed by a mobile QPR forward line encouraged by our own corresponding negativity, and the changes, when they did come, were far too late'

100% concentration required from our side.
Why this week ?
Warburton will surely exploit that today as
Cafc got away with Oshilaja playing out of position last week.

"Hugill is a target man forward, has great strength and is able to out-muscle opposition defenders"
Sounds like a "shit house forward", just trying to help with stat bank
That'll delight people today
Edit; Beaten to it by FA 'You snooze you lose' 😞
Bardet and Cameron are experienced heads in that team too
Cmon you Addicks...
