Always appeared in good TV shows. One of my favourite Rab C. Nesbitt episodes was when Maurice played the psycho Young Young McGurn. *Edit* Just read the obit, and lo and behold there's a still from that very episode.

    RIP.

I had to say 'who' to myself but one of those actors who you recognise but don't know his name. RIP.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the thread was the series he was in late 80s - 'Bookie'!
    Fine character actor.

He was great in Tutti Frutti, apparently that was not repeated for years because Little Richard wanted royalties, although the story was that he only wanted fifty quid or so! The Beeb I think kinda shifted the blame that time.

Wasn't the Rab C Nesbitt appearance the episode where he turned up in the courtroom on a Harley and some sort of mad Viking helmet? Great stuff.

    RIP
