    Cock, arse, bugger, tits, poo.
  • Just gutted. All those injury time goals conceded have caught up with us.
I’d disagree. All those rogue owners have caught up with us.

Sure no fight:  Leeds wage bill £46 million, Charlton £6.5 million.  Couldn't just be an absolutely cavernous gulf in resources?
Yes, but you must appreciate modern football in the post-Thatcherite period.

I'm calling it. we're going to have an ENTIRE new squad in league one
    Assuming the club exists.

Look how much of a fight the other relegation teams put up compared to us. Disgusting.
Nothing to do with fight. Leeds are very very good, and we are very very very poor. Name a side we outplayed this season, barely one, we have got most of our results through fight and nothing else.
Not just tonight though is it. Easy to say we played against Leeds but there were 45 other games this season.
Exactly mate, that's my point, name me one of those other 45 games we consistently played a team off the pitch? Forest home first half, Reading away last 20 minutes, Derby first half. I can't think of many.

Otherwise every result has been backs against the wall, grit and determination. Considering the gulf in class of player, and resources I'm suprised we've not been on the end of more hidings.

We are a poor team, especially compared to the rest of the championship, but I wouldn't fault most of the players efforts.

As others have said it isn't tonight that has relegated us, it's all the ridiculous late goals we have conceded in so many games. The worry now is that the present squad isn't good enough to get us out of League 1, in fact we may be in the bottom half of league 1 this time next year.

It’s stating the obvious but it’s the ownership that’s done for us. If we could have strengthened in the January window that might just have been enough. Instead we have ESI and their pretend purchase and a transfer embargo which has cost us. Not the players fault, not Bowyer’s fault - purely down to Roland who managed to fuck up running the club and then fucked up selling it.
This is spot on. Forget the debate of were they weren’t they trying. This stems all the way back to Roland and his nonsense deal with a bunch of Manc crooks.

So, so frustrating but when your relying on other teams to bail you out that's what you get. Should never have got to that stage as we have had countless chances this year to do our own business and bottled them all. No surprises that we bottled tonight either, would never have known we were fighting for our lives watching that dross tonight.

Firm believer that the table never lies and we deserve to be where we are however feel so sorry for Wigan. Would have been mid table if not for their points deduction. Fair play to Luton and Barnsley though, no better squads than us but had more courage and fight than us simple as.

What an absolute waste of a season. The most gutted I've been in a long time and I suspect Lee will be off imminently and who can blame him. Done a great job for us and deserves the opportunities which come his way.

    Gutting.

Outplayed by a very good Leeds team. We will all look back and sigh at the missed opportunities to hold onto points. We really have blown it this year. Hats off to Barnsley though. Beating Brentford away when they could have been promoted! Blimey! And Luton have worked miracles as well.
So we now wait for a kick in the goolies re administration, if our new owners fail to deliver. Don't hold your breath.

Would welcome admin now with a double relegation. At least league 2 would see us tick off some new grounds.

No one should blame the players or the football staff.
Given the chaos at the club they should be saluted for keeping it going to the last game.
It’s Duchatelet’s fault. Pure and simple. He created the miasma of despair and confusion that has enveloped us. I am furious with him but full of pride for Bowyer and all the players. (Apart from Taylor and Solly.)
    come on you addicks!!!!’

Like going back in time. SCP back in and recruit an entirely new squad for L1? Might as well - worked once before.

That disallowed goal Vs Reading was huge.

5-3-2 and shit referees have sent us down. I'm gutted and can't even see any positives as how can we rebuild when we don't even have bricks

  • Just gutted. All those injury time goals conceded have caught up with us.
And its an injury time goal that relegates us

Which given how many last minute goals we have let in is apt.

cant pinpoint one defining moment, as they all add up, Bonne's sitters in that few games, the Birmingham equaliser, Taylor fucking off before the end of his contract, false idols in TN and MS, Leko getting an ACL injury, it's all conspired against us this season

  • We were never going to get anything in this game. The moment we got relegated was the moment we conceded that late equaliser at Birmingham.

Hopefully this will help bring the ownership issue to a quicker conclusion.

I should care more. But League One or Championship the fact remains this club is rotten to the core.

Without a takeover we will sink further. Until this club is under stable ownership there’s just no point worrying. The football almost secondary.
Post of the night, take a bow sir.

We had our chances in the last few weeks but didn’t take them. No win in our last 7 matches and only 4 goals. Hard to say relegation is not deserved when you look at the form Luton and Barnsley have produced and we failed to come close to matching. Harsh on the fans and the players and staff who’ve all given as much as they could be expected to.

Feel fairly numb about it all, tbh. Didn’t even celebrate Bonne’s equaliser last week because it always felt like a win vs Wigan was our last chance. When we failed to get it this felt inevitable to me.

Fuck you ESI, fuck you Roland, fuck you EFL.
  • The club is rotten at the top and until that changes we’re fucked

Only been in the bottom 3 twice all season?, before lockdown and tonight haven’t we?

gutted, the pre-Xmas squad would’ve stayed up comfortably. Nowhere near enough quality since then.

save the hate for the owners (whoever they are)....just hope Bowyer and his staff hang around

F you Roland. F you ESI. All the promise that came with the takeover at the new year followed by all the lies around the transfer embargo and the continued BS surrounding not satisfying the EFL and not selling the club. Added to that the continued frustrating to prevent owners coming in who could make a positive difference to us in so many ways. You're scum and I hope you stand on upturned plugs and rusty nails every day, in barefoot, for the rest of your days.

Luton and Barnsley - well done. Two well-run clubs stay up and clubs owned by chancers get relegated. Thank you Lee and the boys, you tried your hardest with no support from those above, especially considering this team was considerably worse than our playoff winning side.

Last year was amazing and I'm glad I got to share it with my dad - a memory we will always have. Those good times won't return until we rid the club of the rot at its core.

I don't know about anyone else but I need a break from this club and all the crap going on behind closed doors.

Admin will probably see you ticking off quite a few new grounds after AFC Charlton kick off in the 10th tier.
