Don't leave it too late folks if you're thinking about doing this. The end can come very quickly if and when it happens.
His assistant replied saying that because my email was in relation to departmental business, it would be one for “his department” to respond to.
I have not yet had a response, despite chasing it twice. The assistant, in response to my first chase, said that in “normal times”, the department would turn around a response in 20 working days, but due to coronavirus and receiving thousands of emails daily, it “may take longer”.
The assistant said he didn’t doubt that I would receive a response “sooner or later”. My concern is that it will be “later” by which time we will have joined Bury in the football graveyard.
