I'm shocked and gutted and completely stunned. I knew Chris we used to speak on the phone and occasionally met at the Valley when I could get down there. I also sent stuff to him for his blog, I was only in contact with him the week before last! A couple of weeks ago he contacted me about losing his beloved Labrador at the age of 14, he was devastated and I sent him a link to a poem called Rainbow Bridge, which he read and shared with his family. He only brought the ashes of Max home at the end of August and said they felt lost without him. We spoke about TS and the goings on at the club last on 3rd September. Chris was a wonderful man with his family and Charlton as his life. He had a knee operation earlier in the year and was waiting for another that was postponed because of Covid! He often went to games with his grandson, and would always be at the ground early. Chris, I'm shocked, you were a very good man and in the short few years we knew each other it was a distinct pleasure. My thoughts and prayers to his wife and family at this really sad and awful time. RIP Dr Kish life will be poorer without you, I'm gonna miss our chats. God bless you sir. Truly stunned Malc x
Didn’t know Chris but enjoyed reading Dr Kish. This just put all this takeover and transfer embargo bollox into perspective. In the great scheme of things, it’s not that important. We’ve lost a member of the CAFC family who will be greatly missed. My most sincere condolences go out to family and friends. RIP Doc
