I cannot get into football with no fans in the grounds.
But you've been doing it for years
Beckenham had 119 10 days ago.
The FA cup tie at Bromley's ground between Cray Wanderers v Fisher that the lad and I went to a few weeks ago had a 302 attendance. There was no problem for vertically challenged folk in having a good view. Decent amount of noise too.
The Wands were the first team I ever 'supported' as I lived in Orpington as a kid and the old Grassmead ground was just down the road from me.
I've seen 3 of the 4 League games (I missed Lincoln), including the Doncaster match live at the Valley.
I didn't bother with the two EFL games, although I listened to most of the Valley Pass commentary last week for the Brighton Under 21s match, whilst pretending to watch Bake Off with my wife
Haven't watched a minute of our games live, not sure I will, doesn't really fit into the weekend easily
How can a 3pm kick off on a Saturday not fit into a weekend ? Thats been the standard kick-off time for the past 70 years. Have you not been to games over the years then...?
This Valley Party person says 'Nothing to declare'. Nothing this season. Nothing last season. Nothing since May 2016. Duchatelet out. Get out of our Valley.

Wow - didn't realise there were still people boycotting. Can't be that many now surely? - less than a hundred real principled die hards be a fair estimate?? any idea??
But they are both right. We were pretty rubbish against Sunderland.
I differ to Golfie in that I don't hold Bowyer accountable, and I believe that it will get sorted sooner rather than later.
I do think that the sale of Bonne might haunt us however and make the task of promotion unattainable. It all depends who we get in but I certainly don't think that we'll get anyone better. I hope I'm wrong.

None really apart from the odd tit bit....if we win which as you know isn't very often I might watch quest, in fact can't even stand watching it on TV with empty stadiums and all that canned crowd and other reasons.
Tried to go to Doncaster but was away and for some reason I couldn't get a ticket online.

A Sunday morning game in the park has more atmosphere than watching an empty stadium on a screen; and I definitely can’t stand the artificial noise. That and I can’t be bothered to sign up. Football is more than a game.
Was one of the lucky (result apart) 1,000 who made it to The Valley for the Doncaster game and have watched the other league matches by mirroring from the Valley Pass app on to my TV via Apple TV. Could not raise the enthusiasm to fork out for the EFL Trophy games. Watching on TV is obviously not the same as seeing it live. Biggest plus is that having brainwashed my grandsons into supporting Charlton, they can keep in touch with the footie action. Have not even tried to explain the behind-the-scenes shenanigans. Their biggest concern is waiting for their new kits to arrive.

Villa and Tottenham fans will feel very little after their remarkable victories on Sunday. Only one reason for that.

Would be good for clubs to publish home streaming numbers and campaign for larger ‘virtual’ attendances. Now TS is in play, we should be collectively working toward making us as financially sound as possible. We shouldn’t merely rely on a new found passion and hobby of a very wealthy man to provide for our long term financial stability, we can play our part and at £10 per household per game, hopefully it is sufficiently affordable for very many (compared to the usual shell out per game).
I am sure they are thinking of this sort of thing, but I would be offering a ‘pay to engage’ 10 minute individual Zoom meeting with squad players. Book slots for families who wish to chat to their favourite players about everything and anything. Could be a weekly feature or more if popular and could raise additional revenue very quickly and easily.
I've watched all the league games. Not great viewing to be honest. After two years of exile, I'd love to be back watching Charlton. Fucking coronavirus.
On the subject of the EFL Trophy, it's telling that there are five references to it here as the JPT. When Johnstone's haven't sponsored it for four years. No-one has mentioned the current, or even the former sponsors. This is a good demonstration of what an utter joke this pathetic competition has become. I really do wish they would put it out of its misery and expunge the last four years from the official records.

My mind boggles sometimes.
One TV in the house, and it's dominating that for nearly 2 hours, I hate watching sport on laptops/mobiles. Also if I'm at home, time with the family is more important, I know that might be a struggle for you to get your boggled mind around.
Only watched clips here and there hardly watched anything compared to what I usually do start of a new season. A lot of that is down to timing, busy few weekends work wise but also I've got a real disconnect with the team at the moment. Tired of watching us play crap football, with other teams players or our own players that are off after 12-24 months of playing ok. Would be nice if I didn't have to explain to my kids why this player or that player is no longer playing for us. Going forward id rather us play our youngsters that can come through rather than some loanee from Brighton for example that can do no better than them. Until that changes, and I'm hopeful it will, I'm bored of this league already.

Not sure where that leaves me tbh!
