I love 'em.
A good steak and ale is my favourite, but last night I had a chicken pie from Sparks which was so good I felt inspired.
I'm going to make one tonight.
Thinking something with Stilton but I'm easily swayed.
What's your favourite savoury pie?

My missus makes a mean Chicken & Leek pie however Steak & Ale, Steak & Kidney, Chicken & Mushroom etc, all good.
I always favoured a Peters pie but found them too dry compared to a Pukka pie. A lot more gravy in the Pukka one now wins the day.
love a pie
used to like “COOK’S” chicken , leek and ham pie but not had one for years , not sure if they’re still around .
My old nan used to make a gorgeous beef pie with mushrooms and gravy and the previously mentioned pastry casing and full to the brim
There is an independent place near me that delivers fresh pies but you need to buy about 10 of the bastards to qualify for delivery. We have 8 in the bottom of the freezer, even a vegan one. They include lamb madras, steak and Stilton, steak and guinness, wild fowl and boar. For the life of me I cannot remember what they are called which is annoying as it is the whole point of my input to this thread
Not quite haute cuisine but tasted pretty good.
I only like beef or lamb in pies - lamb and sweet potato is wicked, and corned beef and potato another favourite.
As others have already said, it must be pastry base, sides and top - shortcrust preferred over puff pastry.
One of my good mates who I have featured before reckons pizza express food is among the less incendiary for his rectum and bulks the stool
He suffers bad with anything to do with guts IBS, chrones you name it he battles it often failing. He made me vomit out of a car window on the way back from a stag do once with what I thought was a really, really venomous fart. The stag do was in Newcastle, we didn't stop until Northampton where he told me it was liquid effluent as opposed to just a fart and his balls had been marinated
Rammed full of meat from the local butcher and served with a load of mash and gravy. Sumptuous.
