Odyssey-Native New Yorker (admittedly with a bit of license). Bran Van 3000 - Drinking in L.A. REM - Texarkana
Great shout. I can think of three REM city songs and one of a river and national park. You chose the best if only for for interesting change of vocalist.
Great song, pretty sure virtually none of that video is filmed in Cov though
Most
Mostly filmed in London but a little bit of the old Foleshill area of Cov is shown as well as Horace's driving. I seem to recall that the Top of the Pops video did show a significant amount of the Broadgate centre in Cov though.
Not an easy song, but I believe an important one with Newman painting a painful picture of time and place. His choice of the persona he adopt as a story teller is uncomfortable but effective. The video quality isn't great too but the energy of this performance is the reason I chose it.

I think Mike Mills on lead vocals were very underused. Near Wild Heaven is one of my favourite tracks and the acoustic version of Love Is All Around on MTV unplugged set is fantastic.
