Inniss: 8.5 I’d go higher based on his defensive duties alone but he was sloppy when passing
Famewo: 8 solid and assured, loved his foray into the Blackpool half

Watson: 7.5 better from him today, wanted to get the ball moving and always available. Less effective second half.
Pratley: 6 slows us down, not as effective as Watson today
Doughty: 8 regaining form, first ten mins he was unplayable, then faded a bit, but reclaimed his place in the second half
Shinnie: 7.5 much better from him today as well, think he’ll be a great player for us based on this showing
Bogle: 7 I was really impressed up to when he nixed our opening goal. Docking points based on him almost costing us 2.
Washington: 6 didn’t notice so much from him today
Maatsen: 8 brilliant, LB position must be his from now on
Aneke: 8.5 great performance. He’s gotten much stronger in the air, such great control, and a well taken goal

Gunter: 6.5 - Strong in tackles, linked up well with Doughty and never really troubled.
Inniss: MOTM 8 - Rock solid, in the air and on the ground, totally no nonsense. Robbed of a goal and stopped them through on goal with a crunching tackle which I think I felt through the stream.
Famewo: 7 - Just as solid as Inniss but didn't have as many key moments.
Purrington: 3 - Was getting troubled by Hamilton and couldn't cope, causing him to even the playing field. Disappointing.
Watson: 6 - Nothing special but mopped up quite well in the middle, had a few shots that were very wayward.
Pratley: 5.5 - Similar to Watson but probably less effective.
Doughty: 7 - Assist for the goal and was causing them trouble down the right in the whole game.
Shinnie: 6.5 - All over the pitch, great cardio, good touch. Think he'll get better and better.
Bogle: 6.5 - Thought he was promising, not quite as sharp as Aneke currently but a similar style. Think he'll do well given game-time.
Washington: 5.5 - Didn't really see him bother them much, couldn't get a handle on the ball it seemed.
Maatsen: 7.5 - Game changer, good touch and tackles, great passing. Felt like something would happen when he had the ball, and then it did.
Aneke: 7 - Caused them trouble when he came on, great to see him finally getting game time.
Referee: 6 - Sending offs were right, disallowed goal wasn't really his fault, thought he was pretty fair

Famewo: 8 first name on the team sheet at the moment. So consistent
Purrington: 4 But give the guy a break. Scored at Wembley, great ball to Bogle in first minute, looked ok going forward. Stupid red card, obviously, but some of the comments are way over the top.
Watson: 7.5 best game for us so far, started to see what we were expecting to see. For the first time thought his yellow was a bit harsh.
Pratley: 6 quiet for him
Shinnie: 6.5 grew into it, wasn't creative enough whilst it was 11 vs 10
Doughty: 7 drifted in and out of the game, but when he was in he was very dangerous. Great knock back
Bogle: 5 his highlight was the first minute. Loses a point for the disallowed goal
Washington: 5.5 much better 2nd half following anonymous first half. Taken off during his best part of the game, but immediately outshone by Smyth
Maatsen: 8.5 clearly has only one foot, but what a foot.
Aneke: 8 took it well, probably should have gone down when dragged back in the box later on. We have a striker!

most of the points for Purrington are ridiculous even given he had a poor game .. he's never been popular for some reason but now he looks as though he will be this season's stake out scapegoat .. never let it be said that Addicks fans always stick up for their players, unless they are 'home grown' in which case they can do no wrong1

I like Purrington overall...my mark was very low and I know that will irk some people.
However, he isnt a novice and he isnt a bad player but that second yellow card was so avoidable. He should know better about hold to players up if they have the beating of him. Easier said than done for sure...he lost his head and for whatever reason has become inconsistent.
He needs a kick up the arse and Maatsen should push him.

Purrington......OK Hamilton was getting the better of him there’s nothing to be particularly shameful about that, it happens from time to time.
But the sending off was a dot on the card.....we all saw it gradually unfold except Purrington himself it would seem.
Pretty dumb of him if you ask me.
