What do you think the world will be like...in 500 years

edited October 2020 in Not Sports Related
Obviously, no one will ever actually know the answer to this question.

I guess it's just instinctive predictions. In the 16 century...I'm sure they were perhaps a bit off the mark in terms of accuracy when predicting what the 21st century might be like.

Issac Newton probably got a few things right.

Options and then your own genuine thoughts/prediction.

A.)

Charlton will still be going. We will most likely be in the equivalent of "The championship/Division 2".

We've just signed a player from Leeds called Gregg Johnson for €2.4billion. Quite a good casual typical sort of deal. Got him on the cheap.

Roland still owns the valley and sparrows lane.

He is casually referred to being known as "Mr Dead" whenever he phones in talksport and they play the Harry Enfield/fast show music.

B.)

1. Football no longer exists
2. Human beings can now actually casually live on Mars..if they have decided to move there and adapt to it's natural environment. We have also increased its atmospheric density and It now has magnetic field protection plus all the other stuff that would be needed.
3. Humans have evolved. We now use positive forms of natural energy and it's all going well.
4. Covid-19 gets brought up in history lessons.

C.)

We are mostly all dead due to an unstoppable asteroid hitting our planet.
The earth rebuilds and deforestation is gradually being reversed.
David Attenborough would probably quite like it.
The Human population has sunk to 300,000.

Other animals are taking control. They are breeding a lot quicker then we are! The NHS now have a lot of empty spare beds.

D.)

1. Our brains can now be connected to computers and new certain kinds of software.

It's basically a typical episode of "Black Mirror".

2. People live for a lot longer and genetic has progressed and achieved all kinds of things.

It's an intensive scary rapid progressive crazy world.

3. Depression can and will be taken a lot more seriously and can easily be identified.
You can basically just download something into your brain.
You can automatically increase your memory, understanding and awareness of particular subjects...just by downloading an app and plugging it into brain tissue by using an accessible chip.

E.)

The Royal family has been ripped apart and British politics have been revolutionised.

It turns out...it was actually a big mistake.

"If it ain't too sh*t...don't try and fix it" Is a new typical phrase.

Queen Elizabeth the IIs 32 year old great great great great gran-daughter decided she would quite like to become a pornstar.

A lot of the British public and b list celebs start to believe it is now officially time to completely get rid of the royal family.

Buckingham palace eventually turns into a kebab shop.

Students and people from Lithuania rent out the top floors.

It has caused "A social media Civil War"

Then, social media gets completely wiped out and no longer exists.

To everyone's shock...Facebook actually replicates the Spiderman villain "venom" and they have to destroy it.

F.)

If you have actually managed to read all of this rubbish.

I'd be really interested to know what you do actually genuinely think the world might be like...in 500 years. Or you can just say what you think will happen in the long term future.

If you have an astronomers background or anything else sort of similar...I guess that would be cool, relative and useful

Over to you, Thanks.

    He will probably win it.

Sky bet are asking for trouble. Think he's 15/8
  • Whether it's by accident or design there'll be a lot fewer people living on this planet in 2520.
  • Devoid of all human life. Some may say that that’s for the best.

Just get rid of the ****s.

    Most people are good.

Become a real self bashing trope over recent years "humans are the planet's biggest threat" "people are the true monsters" etc.

Most people are truly decent just doing their best to survive on this planet we've woken up on and the human species has achieved wonders.

What about kangaroos? No one ever has a pop at them and they're wankers.
  • Football will involve teams from around the galaxy though the off planet games will resemble the 20/21 season in that there will be no atmosphere

    The year is 2520

Religions have all been debunked, money isn't really a thing either anymore. As a result of these huge changes Humanity has finally learned to live alongside one another without need for war or politically driven violence.

These advances have come at a cost, in 2050 it was mandated that families must be limited to two children.  In 2100, alcohol and drugs were completely outlawed. Of course they still exist as this is Humanity still.

The Elon Musk Organisation continues the man's work and as such science has led to a world run by completely renewable energy sources. The organisations charitable work has also led to the resolution of poverty in the old 'third world'.

Robots have taken on the majority of jobs and humans have time for one another. Socialising and having time to meditate daily and to enjoy their hobbies.

Space X, Nasa and all other space travel companies work together to work together with a goal to colonise Mars... In 2520 this still hasn't happened, however the technology to create a kind of synthetic ozone layer is just coming together.

All sports still exist. Humans are humans so still get angry, sad, emotional about results but the outlawing of Alcohol & Drugs has removed the majority of violence.

Adverts are everywhere, all over the world, on car windows displayed on clear LED screens (LG have already developed these but not in a form this would work for!).

Hover cars finally exist, but more akin to the land speeder in Star Wars A New Hope than Fifth Element.

A statue of the 'Rock & Roll CEO' stands proudly outside the 'Sandgaard Valley Stadium' after helping Charlton to achieve Premier League status and European football in his 9th year as owner, they would go on to win the Champions League in 2100 under the ownership of Thomas Sandgaard's grandson, Thomas Sandgaardsonsson. It was Sandgaardsonsson who elected to have the statue built.

It remained the clubs greatest ever achievement. Charlton returned to life as a yo yo side, bouncing between the top two leagues for the next 400 years never quite achieving anything as admirable as the 'Rock and Roll Years'.

  • Lyle Taylor will still be waiting for his first forest goal.
@ElfsborgAddick still won’t have been to the bar.
  • We still won't have a striker.

  • Well.... have you read or seen 'The Road'?
  • Liverpool will be fighting against relegation in the Inter-Galactic Premier Division following a 1-0 defeat to Zog Zog.
  • Southeastern will be running a reliable service

  • Whatever it is like people will say it was better in the old days.
  • Not much has changed, but we live underwater.....
  • Football will involve teams from around the galaxy though the off planet games will resemble the 20/21 season in that there will be no atmosphere
But can he do it on a cold Tuesday night away at Pluto
