Those cheeky manc money lenders again! 😉SantaClaus said:
Who'd lend £200m against a club that has limited sponsorship appeal, no foreign revenue streams, an iffy squad and the potential to be relegated?AddicksAddict said:£200m? Either complete fantasy or they borrow the money from somewhere and then load the debt on to the club, a la Glazers at ManUre.

Ironically if you Google "Farnell Burnley" the first result is "Farnell Land Rover, in Nelson". Ha11

Living in Blackburn you tend not to have many local friends who support Burnley. Proper tribal. But as I am local, if I can help let me know. We need to stand up for all fans where and if we can against these ..... Thanks Thomas. Not us, not anyone.14

I wouldn't wish these guys on anybody. I hope Burnley fans can get themselves organised because this is a fight they need to win, their future is at stake.8

Denial looks something like this.54 -
This situation goes way beyond tribalism - I wouldn't even wish Farnell & co. on Millwall!
Don't give up, Burnley fans.
Farnell claimed Elliott's consortium (which Elliott confirmed included El Kashashy) were our new owners, when they weren't.
I hope for your sakes he has jumped the gun again and that the FA are more efficient applying their rules than EFL have been.7 -
Cheers for sharing, thats made me laughLaddick01 said:Denial looks something like this.
So Farnell and El Kashashy are suddenly going to become reputable because Burnley arent badly run?19 -
Farnell has previous with kind of shit, he’s just a clown wanting attention all bluster and bullshit. The one positive is it seems they have given up on ever trying to get us. I fear for Burnley if true but can’t see in a million years this happening. Farnell and his fake money man haven’t got £200m to spend straight up then run the club. Hilarious!!1
-
I’ve liked Burnley ever since they won the league at our place and their fans used a pitch invasion to start a ‘we want Roland out’ chant while applauding our fans. Hopefully we’ll be able to warn them quickly enough that Farnell will be run off27

I wonder if Dave Jones is going to be involved this time round?0

Sounds like this Burnley journo has been speaking to Farnell whose sold him the old “not everything Charlton fans say is true” line. Think he might need to get the other side of the story before believing everything Farnell tells him.MattF said:20 -
If that’s a dig at us you’ve got to laugh. Amazing how many ‘journalists’ get sold blatant lies and lap it up.MattF said:15 -
With the Wigan takeover going very quiet, part of me now wonders if the rumoured mention of Farnell being involved in that was true too
Or whether as Henry says, its just smoke and mirrors from them to pretend as though they're interested in buying clubs0 -
Surely this won’t gain traction. They don’t have £200 million or anything like it. How much would proof of funds be to buy and run the club ? What’s their angle ? I can see why buying Charlton for £1 would be a good deal to then flip but Burnley at £200 million ?0

Boden now says that Farnell/El Kashashy have been speaking to Burnley for “a year”. How does that tally with their involvement in CAFC?8

The Burnley forum is an awful read right now. The perfect blend of depression and denial.7

Seems bizarre that it looks like this is the local press with zero interest in doing a bit of research into themMattF said:10 -
Too many journalists appear happy to lap up whatever information they're given these days without doing their job and questioning itLeeds_Addick said:

Look at the use of the word 'just' in the tweet.Leeds_Addick said:

A classic attempt to portray something as minor.
If some things are true and some are not, then Chris Boden, journalist, should do his research as we fans have done, and separate fact from fiction.
Some Burnley fans simply (and understandably) want to believe, just as children in the audience watching Peter Pan want to believe in fairies to save Tinkerbell.
They are advised to take heed and not wave away our experience and knowledge with the back of the hand.7 -
What else is ridiculous is the Burnley fans saying that they should all wait and see
But you've got people on that forum from Charlton, Swansea, even a Burnley fan from Salisbury who knows what Farnell has done
The signs are so bloody clear10 -

Well this was in July... Dont think that was a year ago, although has felt like it at times:
https://www.castrust.org/2020/07/what-is-happening-at-our-club-weekly-update-11/What is the involvement of Mohammed El Khashasy in CAFC and ESI?Mohammed is a member of the consortium. He is someone that both Chris Farnell and I have known for some time.1 -
Where has he got the money from ? I thought they were skint0
