Just had a call from Nick....he was rushed into hospital at the end of the Pompey game as he had mysteriously passed out a couple of times during the day!
Turns out he will have a permanent pace maker fitted in the next few days.....he is currently in the heart ward of Maidstone Hospital.
He was in there on Friday for his latest Chemo treatment which he (as only Nick could) found quite amusing and suggested he only needed to end up in maternity in the next week or so for a full house.
Nick has kept pretty quiet over the last year or two regarding his fight against the Big C.......to say the least it’s been a roller coaster and most of you won’t be aware of his illness, but as you will have seen on here over and over again, he still retains his own special brand of humour and wit........and long may that be so.
He’s a cracking fella as anyone who has come across him will testify and is without doubt one of the most interesting and liked posters on CL. So in true CL style let’s all send him our very best wishes.
Incidentally.......Nick said it was OK for me to post this information, including his battle with Big C, so at last it’s out in the open.
