  • It's at our ground though
  • 'against the Fishermen' would have sufficed ;)

    0-0.
Cant see either team finding the net at The Fisherman's ground.
Unless there is a gap in the back four and very late Icelandic signing arrives to fillet.
Will remain on the hook trawling through the live feed, expecting the tightest defence in the division to school us in their skills.
Amos to catch everything, a great oppertunaty for him. No debait.
    It's at The Valley.
  • 2-0 to Charlton.
  • Wanted no injuries and a hopeful point at Portsmouth, got a win and 1/2 injuries.

Will go for the same this time with the break coming up, although if we manage a win this time out as well can we do it without the injuries bit 🤞

    Is it a home game?

If Matthews is fit to start. I’d keep Gunter in a back four, or three, to replace Famewo, He was excellent against Pompey.
If Matthews can’t start, then Pratley, or even Purrington, although it feels like we’ll keep a clean sheet whoever we stick in defence at the moment.

    2-0 to the Addicks.

I keep having to pinch myself that the season is turning out the way it has so far, it’s just a shame we can’t be there to witness it.
  • Fully agree with the above. I think that the class of Gunter is important and that Pratley and Inniss may be a bit immobile against a very decent attacking force in this league. Of course it does depend on whether Matthews is capable, but he didn't even look tired at the end of the last game. I fear for Maatsen though. He did look tired and i think Bowyer may not be willing to take the risk with him and put Purrington in.

I am normally one for playing it cautious with Williams, but if he is capable of another hour on Tuesday, I would keep him in. His confidence must be sky high after the last game and he could be a real threat.

Definitely think Smyth will come in after his excellent little cameo at the weekend.

Another really tough test and one we will come unstuck on if we are not at it. I am going to say we'll finally concede a goal, but will come out 2-1 winners. am hoping we'll have a bit too much for them offensively.
  • Fleetwood are a decent side. They have a number of experienced players, but ones who are able to cope with the intensity of playing twice a week

I've NO idea what our side will be. Bowyer likes to rotate, and will also be wary of pushing certain players too much and risk more muscle injuries. It's pretty certain that Watson and Inniss will return, but other than that the physical condition of the other players will affect his team selection

  • I think this will be a tight game. Fleetwood have a lot of very experienced players and a fair amount of nous at this level. My Rochdale-supporting mate rates Callum Camps and I think he has done well in midfield since Fleetwood picked him up on a Bosman in the summer.

We’ll miss Famewo’s composure and quality on the ball at the back but the return of Inniss and Watson is very timely and confidence in the camp could hardly be higher. We also have, for the first time in many years, the luxury of attacking options off the bench.

Gunter should keep his place at CB. Matthews at RB.

I hope we rest Pratley but with Famewo out, LB might put the Pratley & Watson duo in midfield.

Fleetwood will struggle to break us down either way. And I back us to score one.

    1-0 Aneke.
  • I was pretty optimistic (for me) before reading that preview , we’re solid and them 9th in the table and no clue about their team or form .
Having read Sages in depth pre match report I’m in pieces and feel a bag of nerves , yes we are good but in this run we’ve had the rub of the green a bit and that will even itself out .
We have good players but I don’t believe we’re firing yet so it’s banana skin time .

as I said for Pompey game for this now , Sage has put the willies up me (ooooooerrrrr)

drab, dreary,  miserable defeat,  minimum attacking threat from us and a gentle reminder it won't be a stroll in the park for us to make the top 2 ”
  • Great preview - like many others it has made me more nervous than just glancing at the table having known nothing of them bar the manager's name.

However in LB we trust and the squad must be full of confidence.
  • Tight affair with a happy outcome 1-0 Charlton.
  • Great run at the moment with the clean sheets and wins and i think
we will keep it going Tuesday, reckon we will step up a gear now
and i am going for a convincing 3-0 Chuks x2, and Innis

It’s definitely going to be a tough game. They have bundles of experience, especially in midfield, but do they have the legs to keep up with clever players like Shinnie, Williams if he plays, and Aneke?

Oxford are a better side than they’re showing right now, and we all thought the 2-0 victory last week was a good result, which it was. But Fleetwood also comfortably beat them 2-0 at the weekend as well.

There is no need, though, to be nervous of anyone in this league. We’ve just gone to an in form Pompey and won 2-0, without ever really looking in much trouble defensively.

We now have Inniss the monster to come back, and Watson’s got pretty much just as much experience as any of Fleetwood’s players.

I completely understand the number of 0-0 predictions so far, it’s going to be a close/even game as I do expect them to be in and around the top 6 this season. But we should never fear anyone in this league, especially after 5 wins on the bounce.

I wouldn't change the team that much.....Innis in for Famewo & Chuks for Bogle (although it still might he better bringing Chuks on to score after Bogle has worn their defence down) but Bows always seems to see it differently so I expect to see 2 or 3 other changes.

I've been predicting us to lose quite a bit lately & very please to have been proved wrong. However, having seen Fleetwood dismantle Hull the other week I fear tomorrow night will be a pier to far.

    1-3.

So it's technically the truth ;)
  • If we play well we won’t lose. Confident we will continue the run.

  • 2-1 Charlton. Bogle and Smyth

Though I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable we looked Saturday without him, having Innis back will be a boost.

Suspect Pratley might be on the bench and Watson starting.

Confidence is high and rightly so, we are playing some good football whilst doing the horrible bits aswell to grind out a result.

Carry on the momentum, before the rest in the league.

A draw after 5 straight wins will be fine but a big effort can put us right up there. 2-1 to put us in dream land; Washington with one and Smyth to open his account.
  • I think there is a difference in this game. We have an FA cup match on Saturday then the International break so Bowyer doesn't really need to look beyond it in his selections.
  • Getting out of the league is the priority, therefore I expect us to go for the win here.

I'm hoping we can line up as shown and will pinch a 1-0 victory.

  • Think this is gonna be a tough game, but will have enough in our locker for another win, recs we will concede this game but only the one...so going for a 2-1 Innis & Washington scorers & can also see Watson getting another booking...

Be nice to be sitting comfortably in the table with the International break coming up
  • Forgot Watson was back, can he play LCB?
  • Another very tight game, Fleetwood are a decent side, yet we are on a roll. Innis back into the side, keep Gunter at CB and Matthews at RB. Hopefully young Ian can go again at LB. Anneke to start with Bogle coming off the bench after 75 mins....1-0 Addicks.
