  • Probably my favourite was him in Reggie Perrin.  Thanks for that @Algarveaddick, made my evening.

As someone said his timing was excellent, he had the eyebrow rise of a mad Rhaj Major or a withering avuncular wisdom.  Great actor, but his face for comedy or establishment figures made you believe before he delivered his impeccable lines.

    RIP Geoffrey.
  • Loved Geoffrey Palmer.  What a great voice.
  • I remember laughing at Butterflies until my face ached.

    RIP Geoffrey
  • Butterflies is just simply brilliant. I love Wendy Craig in it, she's fantastic, but Geoffrey Palmer was great as the husband too.
    RIP.
  • Butterflies should be re run. Proper underrated.

  • One of the best comic actors out there, though rarely if ever smiled! What a talent/

    RIP Geoffrey
  • For me Uncle Jimmy was my favourite character. There was a time when he seemed to be in most of the comedies on tv. R.I.P.
  • “I’m a doctor and I want my sausages”.

    Great actor. RIP
  • A big favourite in so many things. Uncle Jimmy in Reggie Perrin being a particular favourite. RIP Geoffrey and thanks for all the fun.

Some slightly racist language of the time in this, but very funny.

Superb! Though can quite easily see that conversation happening today
  • That Perrin sketch is brilliant.
There was some great comedy about then & he seemed to be in all of them.
I have to thank having older siblings as I wouldn’t have watched half of them.

    RIP, a truly gifted gentleman.
