Aidoo: 6 - Not bad from him, not sure how many times we'll see him

Morgan: 10 - Yup maximum marks, did everything tonight cant ask for more

Gavin: N/A - Nice reward for his start to the season with the U18s, hope he follows in Grant's footsteps rather than Tuna's
Powell: N/A - His Dads Chris and Paddy will be delighted to see him put on a Charlton shirt

Referee: 5 - Made a few too many baffling decisions for my liking
  • Maynard-Brewer:  7 Looks a really good prospect
Matthews:  7 Amazing a player like him may not get in our first 11
Barker:  8 if Efemwo is out Barker may get back in the first team, Inniss and Pearce a bit too similar
    Pearce: 6 Solid
Aidoo:  6.5 Shaky start but improved
Henry: 6 A bit like Levitt
Morgan: 8 MOM He has added some real grit to his play and much better all round
Vennings: 6 5 Not much impact
    Ghandour: 6 Worked hard
Aouachria: 6 5 Looks another good prospect
Maddison: 7 5 Really improved second half, took his goal brilliantly
Mingi: 7  I really like him, shame he did not get a crack at the first time at the beginning of the season

Maynard-Brewer: 7 Solid, not much to do for the goal, it came under Barker so hard to stop.

    Matthews: 7 Solid,

Barker: 7 Solid, unlucky not to block the goal. Maybe should try to stay on his feet a bit more.

Pearce: 7 Solid first 45 back on the pitch.

    Aidoo: 6 Played well enough.

Henry:  6 - 1 good pass followed by 3 or 4 bad ones. Reads the game quite well though.

Morgan: :star:  9 Bowyer's comments will be interesting. 2 assists and nearly a very good goal, never stopped running. Absolute star tonight, continued on from the weekend.

Vennings: 7.5 Solid performance, his short passing game is very tidy and every other long pass is decent. Tenacious in the tackle.

Ghandour: 7 Good running game, needed to cap it off with a goal.

Aouachria: 7.5 Hard worker, very tidy finish.

Maddison: 8 Started slow but when needed stepped up and nabbed an assist and a goal.

Mingi: 7.5 Can see why some were confused how Barker pipped him to the first team, very similar in terms of ability and better at reading the game than Barker for me.
    Referee: 7 Mostly Fair.

Gavin: n/a Didn't do much when compared to how Powell impacted the game. Seemed overawed by the occasion.
Powell: n/a Looked good in his cameo. Always looked to do something, not overawed by the occasion.

Overall they all did pretty well. This was a game against pros, the first in which many of them have had to play against pros together and given our average age, 3-1 was a fantastic result.

Maynard-Brewer: 7 good couple saves poor kicking bar one brilliant ball to gavin
    Matthews: 7 dependable as ever
    Barker: 7 really like hI’m
Pearce: 6 got some needed minutes
Aidoo: 6.5 grew into the game
Henry: 6 too many misplaced passes
Morgan: 9.5 MOTM only a goal shy of a perfect game, was everywhere and excellent in every way so happy for him as always loved his natural ability and wanted him to stay in and around first team, bowyers tough love seems to be getting that energy now to match his talent
    Vennings: 6 was ok
    Ghandour: 7 impressed me
    Aouachria: 7 impressed me
Maddison: 7.5 seemed lazy at times but get 0.5 for assist and 1 for goal
Mingi: 7 extra mark to get a debut goal

  • Maynard-Brewer: 7.5 unsighted for the goal. Quality saves. That ball to Gavin was sublime.
Matthews: 8 solid. That RB spot will give Bowyer a headache!
Barker: 8 solid again against a good side.
Pearce: 8 solid. Calmed Aidoo and Henry down massively as you could see they were a bit overwhelmed.
Aidoo: 6.5 very nervous start to the game. Was always looking to play the ball backwards but did grow in confidence
Henry: 6.5 doesn’t seem to do the simple stuff well... but can pick up a pass. You can see he is used to having a lot of time on the ball. That’s where a loan will benefit him.
Morgan: 9.5 couldn’t really have done much more. Really stood out in the muddle of the park and worked hard defensively. Shame about the woodwork
Vennings: 7.5 we’ve some really good players coming through. Hopefully the knock was an impact as opposed to damage
Ghandour: 9 first I’ve seen him play and I was very impressed. Kept up with the pace of the game. Brought others into the game and was brilliant throughout
Aouachria: 8 this lad has just come back from a lengthy injury and was so good to see him score. Defensively he worked very hard but you could see he was knackered after about 20 minutes. Can’t forget he’s only just come back from being out for a year. Well played. Was impressed.
Maddison: 7.5 assist and a goal. Can’t argue with that. Not to mention 90 mins in the tank.
Mingi: 7.5 looked good when he came on. Solid at the back.
    Referee: 6 meh

Gavin: n/a couldn’t really influence the game
Powell: n/a another midfielder who impressed. Looked a smart player. Didn’t hide

We played quite a strong O’s side this evening. A very good display from such a young team.

    Barker: 7.5
    Pearce: 7
    Aidoo: 7
Henry: 6.5 some good passes, some poor passes in dangerous places that could easily have been punished
Morgan: 8.5 he was very good wasn't he? Unlucky not to score
    Vennings: 7.5
    Ghandour:7.5 good energy
    Aouachria: 7.5
    Maddison: 7
    Mingi: 7.5 solid
Referee: 6 a bit fussy, seemed to blow up whenever we touched them, and not so much the other way round.

You are thinking of the wrong person, our Adam Matthews is 28 years old, are you thinking of Levitt maybe.
