seems like QPR, Luton and Palace have done us big favours. We are so lucky to have Gallen.
When he says we were ready to spend the biggest transfer fee “we’ve ever spent” on Schwartz he means in his time at the club, right?
Euell for about 4.75m is our record buy i think so you'd assume we weren't going to top that as a league one club on a Danish sides reserve team striker.

Yes. Annoys me too to read we’d agreed a fee around 600k for Clarke-Harris when those ‘owning’ the club at the time knew we didn’t have a pot to piss in. Shouldn’t be dicking around players and other Clubs.

Clarke-Harris deal was meant to be around £600k, he eventually went to Peterborough for £1.2mil. It seems as though they paid a higher fee so Clarke-Harris got a large % or chunk of that which, I believe, was the loophole Gallen has alluded to. It allows them to pay him a smaller wage and fit in line with the salary cap, but essentially pay him what they would normally have done.
Overall, @LargeAddick you are very right, we are so lucky to have Gallen and I think now he can be fully appreciated by an owner instead of used or made to do all this running around and not getting very far.
He now can make plans well ahead of the season finishing so the moment we know our fate for next season, he can push on with getting deals done. The players then come in early, and get a full pre-season.
It’s exciting and I hope that everyone can see how lucky we are to have Gallen, and Bowyer alongside him too of course.
Shame we thought Ivan Toney wasn't a patch on Lyle too!
We were only going to let Taylor go if we could replace him with Ivan Toney. Once that door was shut by the Posh owner then Lyle stayed. Lyle Taylor was excellent and we shouldn't let his early exit cloud that fact.
Lyle Taylor is persona non grata now but he was at the top of his game when the Brentford bid came in.
Ivan Toney is improving season on season and will now be playing in the Premier; hopefully with Brentford !
