I saw him training in Charlton Park pre season. Slowest player I have ever seen. Dragged one leg as if he had a chronic problem. Jack Charlton rated him though!
It is interesting that he appears in the 1970/71 team photo in Colin Cameron's Home and Away . Presumably he had originally planned to keep playing although he made no league appearances that season .
