Its definitely not a test track but let's not forget how difficult it has been for sub continent players in the past to counter pitches in the uk when its seamer friendly..
The Indian spinners are far better though. .Commentary becoming a bit biased along with a lot of chirping..turned the volume down and feel a bit better!

Not helped by the band leader, Kohli, now orchestrating the crowd!
Thinking this through, I wonder if we will actually see that much more of Jos Buttler in Tests should Foakes sort out his susceptibility against fast short pitched stuff.
The argument for Buttler leaving is because he has been constantly in a bubble but let's not forget that he was at the IPL 'til November and will be in another one from and prior to the 2021 IPL in April. England might decide that, with Buttler's ongoing commitments to white ball cricket, that they would now be better off without him.
Just shows how well Rohit did yesterday scoring as he did on this wicket.
True, but it also shows we didn't bowl well
Both Stone and Leech bowled well but Ashwin and Axar Patel have a bespoke pitch to show their talents.
Sibley was a tad unlucky with his dismissal but a second day pitch became a 5th day pitch and normal service with Indian was resumed when they play in their own backyard.
Question for you cricket experts: Against quality spin, who is the best England opener? (in the squad or not)
Jennings averages 44 in the sub continent against spin so it would probably be him. Trouble is Bumrah might have cleaned him up before a spinner even gets to bowl

Although I still suspect if you bat first you will win. Unless the other team does something exceptional.
not that I expect India to enforce it.
