    Amos: 5

    Gunter: 5.5 good assist
    Pearce: 5
    Oshilaja: 5
Smyth: 4 - not great from him today but not a rwb
Gilbey: 0 - clearly a negative influence on the team.
Forster-Caskey: 7.5 - very good from Jake, especially second half
Maatsen:  5 - not a big fan of his, bad defensively and very one footed. Great dribbler though.
Williams: 5 - looks too lightweight at times and offers little end product, some good link up play though
Aneke:  9 massive for us today. Dominant
Millar: 5.5 needs to release the ball earlier, greedy. Better second half though.
Morgan: 7 - full of energy when he came on
Schwartz: 7 - you just knew when that ball came he was finishing it. Can't wait to see him at full fitness.
Referee: not even worth mentioning, you just knew he'd send someone off and the passback was just comical.

    Washington: n/a
Matthews: n/a should start next game
Agree, think Gilbey may be the negative player in the dressing room.
  • Amos: 6.5 - No real chance with the goals and a few good saves at the end
Gunter: 5 - Appalling first half where he gave Smyth no cover at all but better second half once Baah tired
Pearce: 5 - Seems to have lost confidence but can get it back now he's suspended, right?
Oshilaja: 6 - Kept getting in Maatsen's way first half, but much better in the middle 2nd half
    Smyth: 5 - Poor
Gilbey: 4 - Very poor, again
Forster-Caskey: 5.5 - Controls the game but in a bad way, all sideways and back round in a circle over and over and over...
Maatsen: 4.5 - Loses the ball way too easily; needs a rest
Williams: 5.5 - Tried hard without influencing very much
Aneke: 8 - If he had taken all his chances, could have been a ten!
Millar: 6 - Better second half
Morgan: 6 - Ran his heart out in a desperate cause
Schwartz: 6.5 - Still not fit but there's a player there, and great finish to equalise!
Referee: 3 - Way too inconsistent
  • Amos: 5.5
    Gunter: 6
    Pearce: 5
    Oshilaja: 6
    Smyth:5.5
    Gilbey: 5.5
    Forster-Caskey: 6
    Maatsen:  5.5
    Williams: 5
    Aneke: 8
    Millar: 6.5
    Morgan: 6
    Schwartz: 7
    Referee: 5
  • Amos: 6
    Gunter: 6
    Pearce: 5
    Oshilaja: 6
    Smyth: 4
    Gilbey: 5
    Forster-Caskey: 6
    Maatsen:  6
    Williams: 6
    Aneke: 8
    Millar: 6
    Morgan: 6
    Schwartz: 7
Referee: 4 (it is Kettle so that mark is probably above average for him)

  • Amos: 6 - Couldn't do much about the goals and a couple of decent saves. I've rewatched the highlights this morning and the wall is terrible for their fourth.
Gunter: 5 - Played better second half, unsurprisingly as he is a RB. He's not a CB and it was a bad decision to play him there. Having said that, as a RB playing RCB, you would expect him to drift out and offer Smyth some protection. I don't think he did that well, particularly for their third goal where he defended poorly.
Pearce: 5 - Dived in and played a big part in one of their goals. Generally didn't look comfortable and then sent-off when we're already short at CB. Doesn't get anywhere near the team if Famewo is fit.
Oshilaja: 7 - Thought he played well, especially when playing in a back 4 and not on the left side. Shame we don't have Inniss and Famewo as I think RCB in a back 3 could be really good for him.
Smyth: 5 - Feel bad for giving him this mark as it's not his position but he didn't play well even when moved forward.
Gilbey: 4 - Shocking display, not sure what he was doing for their first.
Forster-Caskey: 7.5 - Another solid display. Fortunate goal but kept us ticking. Think he's been a positive over in this miserable spell.
Maatsen:  6 - Not sure where the Maatsen from October/November is. Maybe not having Famewo next to him is a big negative. Still young and I have no doubt he will come back to form.
Williams: 6.5 - Decent display. Was busy in both halves which was good to see. Minus .5 for a poor miss on the stroke of HT.
Aneke: 8.5 - Outstanding display. Only thing I'm frustrated about is I thought he was a bit greedy going for his hat trick. Couple of times he didnt play the pass when it seemed a better option. He was a massive threat throughout though and their defence couldn't handle him. I do think he should have gone with his left when the keeper turned it round the post although was a decent save. I think him and Schwartz could form a good partnership. The threat of Aneke should create space for Schwartz who will thrive on that.
Millar: 7.5 - Much better on the left than up front. Not sure why Bowyer thought he could play up top, maybe just didn't fancy Smyth there, with Washington needing a rest and Schwartz not able to start.
Morgan: 7 - Decent battling display, is a much better bet than Gilbey at the moment
Schwartz: 7 - Lovely finish and looks to find space in the box better than any of our other strikers are capable of. As above, I think him and Aneke can form a good partnership.

  • Amos: 6 - curates egg. Didn’t do anything obviously wrong but we are shipping goals
Gunter: 5 - awful defensively but played a hand in a couple of goals
Pearce: 4.5 - the knackers yard is approaching for our faithful old stallion I’m afraid.
Oshilaja: 6.5 - he’s done well last two games.
Smyth:4 - not entirely his fault for being out of position but I’m generally unconvinced.
Gilbey: 4 - think it’s a confidence thing. He’s hiding. Needs to get it sorted pronto or he’s a liability.
    Forster-Caskey: 7.5 playing well recently.
Maatsen:  5 - gone off the boil. Needs a rest.
Williams: 5 - being a nice guy is not enough. Flatters to deceive.
    Aneke: 9 - awesome performance.
Millar: 7.5 - frustrating but he’s Alfie with better feet so will be essential to us.
Morgan: 6 - an improvement on Gilbey but far from flawless.
    Schwartz: 7 - very promising.
Referee: 5 - I’ve seen worse displays from him.

Amos: 6 they were great strikes.
Gunter:6 caught between a rock and a hard place.
Pearce: 5.5 looks like a reserve CB
Oshilaja: 7 The best defender for Cafc on the night. Not much too beat !
Smyth:5.5. +1 for being asked to play RWB
Gilbey:5 he always looks off the pace.
Forster-Caskey: 7.5 looks back to his best.
    Maatsen:5.5 decision making poor.
    Williams:5.5 bad miss.
Aneke:9 100 minutes and he was a superb number 9.
Millar: 7.5 he's a wide man, on the left or right. Superb run and pass late on.
Morgan: 6.5 battled away and is gaining an edge.
Schwartz: 7 lovely goal. Needs to get match fit.
Referee: 6.5 he is the most consistent ref I have ever since. In his mind if Red in 1st minute or 2nd yellow late on, Trevor two reds will show a card.
If it was a deliberate back pass that was weird.

  • Amos: 5 - At fault for a couple of theirs imo, although they were also great strikes, good saves in second half as well though
    Gunter: 5
    Pearce: 5 - Harsh Red
Oshilaja: 7 - Our best CB 2 games running
Smyth: 4.5 - Played out of position, runs, not much end product
Gilbey: 3.5 - Needs a few games benched, decent going forward but so poor defensively, strolled out to try and block the shot for their first.
Forster-Caskey: 7 - Swept up well and worked hard, good passing. 2nd best player for us today
Maatsen:  6 - An absolute terror at times, links up well with Millar.
Williams: 6.5 - Decent performance, would like to see him get a few starts
Aneke: 7.5 - MOTM - Two good goals, commanded so much attention from their CBs, if only he could play more frequently
Millar: 6 - Sometimes ran himself into a channel but gives us pace and danger
Morgan: 7 - High work rate defensively and offensively. Cares.
Schwartz: 7 - Top class finish, exactly what we needed

Amos: 6 - could have done better for wall for 4th but not much to be done for others. Some good saves,
Gunter: 6 - 5 exposed as part of back 3 &  gave up for third goal - 7 as right back in their proper position
Pearce: 5 - slow when caught out of position
Oshilaja: 6 - I thought he did ok. Committed.
Smyth: 4.5 - not a wing back, and very poor match up from LB. Clearly wasn't working before 1st goal went in.
Gilbey: 4.5 - poor, looking forward to Shinnie returning, Needs a spell on the bench.
Forster-Caskey: 7 - good, fought and looked decent, particularly second half
Maatsen:  6 - not as good as Jay Da Silva but still ok, signs of promising looking partnership with Millar
Williams: 6 - do like him better playing in a more advanced position, missed a sitter before end 1st half
Aneke: 8 - Excellent performance & signs of promising partnership with Schwartz
Millar: 7 - not perfect, strong character & committed, drives forward, promising signs partnership with Maatsen
Morgan: 6 - committed, better when playing in position
Schwartz: 7.5 - good link up play & very fine 1st goal, promising partnership signs with Aneke, good character
    Referee: 6

    Washington: n/a
    Matthews: n/a

Lee Bowyer - I wish he would play people in their natural proper positions. A proper set up and Charlton win that game. Muddled reasoning for need for back 3. Its Rochdale FFS not Real Madrid.
  • Amos: 6 - don't think he could do anything about any of the goals. It can't be easy playing behind such a shambolic defence and I hope it doesn't eventually undermine his game and confidence
Gunter: 4.5 - better in the second half and a lovely cross for our third goal. His first half defending was, however, atrocious I'd much prefer to see Charlie Barker in central defence and Mathews at right back on Saturday but Bowyer will doubtless persist with Gunter at centre-half
Pearce: 4 - unfortunate with the sending off but his lack of pace and confidence is being cruelly exposed
Oshilaja: 6.5 - Deji was our best defender, although that feels like damning him with faint praise
Smyth: 4.5 - got a few good crosses in early on but was taken to the cleaners by their young left winger. Not his fault and at least Bowyer has put his hands up to a selection error (and not before time)
Gilbey: 4 - he gave Lund - their principal goal threat - acres of space for the first goal and conceded a stupid free kick on the edge of our box for the fourth, picking up yet another booking in the process. He clearly needs a spell out of the side and hopefully Morgan will start on Saturday.
Forster-Caskey: 7 - a very good all round performance. He held the team together in midfield and worked hard throughout
Maatsen: 6 - energetic and pacey, if a little erratic at times (no surprise for an 18 year old)
Williams: 6 - did ok but his overall impact was limited. He also somehow managed to blaze the ball over the bar from 6 yards in the first half.
Aneke: 8.5: MoM - an excellent all round performance
Millar: 7 - a bit greedy at times but his pace and ability to go past people is a big asset. The run from his own half to set up Aneke's chance late on was reminiscent of Alfie Doughty
Morgan: 6.5 - covered a lot of ground and gave JFC some much needed support in midfield
Schwartz: 7 - an excellent finish and looks a very intelligent player. Probably the best English speaker at the club
Referee: 4 - what an utter tool. He would do us all a great service by retiring and I have duly signed the Petition urging him to do so
  • Amos: 6 - Seems to be lacking confidence without Innes and Famewo.
    Gunter: 6 - Better 2nd half.
Pearce: 6 - Not his best game but poor sending off, he had to go for that ball.
Oshilaja: 6 - plays better on the right.
Smyth: 3 - Sorry about this, cannot play wing back ever again. Lightweight, offers little.
Gilbey: 3 - Booked early, no contribution, surely not worth his place in the team.
Forster-Caskey: 7 - Decent game, good goal, getting back to best form.
Maatsen:  6.5 - Decent game, linked well with others.
Williams: 6 - -1 for missing chance, but involved in 2 of our goals, never hides, rate Jonny.
Aneke: 8 - Easily our best player, hope he's fit to start or take part on Saturday, scares defenders!
Millar: 7 - Much better 2nd half, classy forward.
Morgan: 7 - Offers so much more than Gilbey, rate Albie. Should always be selected!
Schwartz: 7 - Great start, hopefully the first of many goals.
Referee: 5 - Poor decision to send Pearce off, probably influenced by moaning Rochdale players.

    Washington: n/a
Matthews: n/a - But please start him Saturday in his correct position.

  • Amos: 6.6 First half he had 4 shots and they all went in.  Second half more assured and a couple of important stops
Gunter: 5 He's a right back.  Not anything else.  Saying that I think Matthews might be due a run at Gunts was not great
Pearce: 4.5 Too slow on the turn and loves to grab.  Becoming a bit of a liability.  Harsh red card though tbf
Oshilaja: 6.5 Still scares the shit out of me.  Wants too long on the ball
Smyth:  4 Played out of position but I suspect it won't ever happen again.  Didn't help their left winger was rapid
Gilbey: 4 Losing patience.  Failing to see what he brings apart from lunging tackles because he is so off the pace.  Probably only getting a game because of injuries and suspensions.  Gutted as I expected more
Forster-Caskey: 7 I'm not his biggest fan but he was decent.  Set pieces are still shit
Maatsen:  6 Better link up with Millar.  Hard to remember he is only 18 as he will have a big future in the game
Williams: 6.5 Lots of huff and puff but not a great deal of output.  Shocking miss right on half time.
Aneke: 9 Unplayable.  Simply unstoppable for 1st goal and some of his close control and touches are truly fantastic.  I've been a critic in the past but he is so so important now.
Millar: 8 Extra mark for THAT run that nearly set up Aneke.  That was brilliant.  Looks like he's gaining confidence.  Well played
Morgan: 7.5 Great energy and chased everything.  Still prone to the occasional brainfart.  Shame he cannot jump for a header
Schwartz: 8 Much more mobile than I expected.  Bit of guile, couple of nice passes and a fantastic finish.  He had 2 shots I think - one went in and the other was blocked.  Great partnership material

  • Amos: 5 - poor with the freekick, and didn’t get anything on the other shots that led to goals
Gunter: 6.5 - mostly assured, and good contributions bursting forward
Pearce: 5 - sluggish and idiotic being sent off
Oshilaja: 8 - had a good game, strong heading and distribution mostly good
Smyth: 5 - played out of position not his fault but the weak point of the team yesterday
Gilbey: 3 - another terrible display, very slow, and does not want to get stuck in, adds nothing
Forster-Caskey: 7.5 - seemed to be in the midfield holding role after Gilbey went off, worked hard, but terribly one footed, poor corners also
Maatsen:  8 - another good performance from the lad
Williams: 7 - industrious and hardworking, can make things happen
Aneke: 9 MOM shame he didn’t get his hat trick, amazing close control for a big man, good link up play with team mates.
Millar: 8.5 - good game, pacey and skilful, what we’ve missed since Doughty’s injury
Morgan: 8 - did well when he came on, got stuck in and took over the dead balls from JFC. Has vision and skill.
Schwartz: 8 - did well and nicely taken goal, hope Ronnie is the answer to our goal scoring woes.
Referee: 7 - given it was Kettle, did a good job, kept things flowing

Washington: n/a - did well covering right back after the sending off and before Matthews came on.
    Matthews: n/a

Amos: 5.5 should have done better with the free kick at least
    Gunter: 5.5 improved 2nd half
Pearce:  5 has determination if not ability
Oshilaja: 6.5 our best defender again. Not that that's a high accolade
Smyth: 4 not his fault, wrong position
Gilbey: 4 was his fault, he's meant to be that midfielder. Did some things right but it's no accident we improved 2nd half
    Forster-Caskey: 7.5 a good game, showed leadership
    Maatsen:  5.5
Williams: 6.5 not everything worked for him, terrible miss first half, but was a good outlet
Aneke: 8.5 immense. The reason we drew and didn't lose
Millar: 7.5 nice play, hope he scores soon
Morgan: 7.5 much better than his last couple of performances
    Schwartz: 7.5 looks tasty
Referee: 5 not as bad as he could have been. Mainly let the game flow. Sending off was harsh but not that harsh

(edited as Aneke deserved a higher mark)

Amos: 5.5 - not much wrong, also didn't save much - one very tidy stop
Gunter: 5 - at fault for a couple of goals for me, leaving Smyth exposed against 2 players but played well after the break
Pearce: 4 - red card and looked ropey alongside Deji
Oshilaja: 5 - not horrific, but defensively we were a shambles and came out the wrong-side of his matchup with their striker
Smyth: 3 - don't blame him too much out of his position, but awful defending cost us goals, never again please Bows
Gilbey: 3.5 - pedestrian off the ball, poor on it, walking red card after booking
Forster-Caskey: 8 - average first half and sublime second half when he was involved in everything
Maatsen:  7 - protected his side and attacked well with Millar
Williams: 5.5 - never looked like he was going anywhere, horrific miss before HT
Aneke: 9 - his first touch and hold up was magical, two well taken goals, missed the chance for a hat-trick and a 10/10
Millar: 7.5 - tries to makes things happen and 2/3 times gives it away, but made chances and a superb run for Aneke's late chance
Morgan: 6.5 - was good on the ball, didn't notice his creativity as much this game, gave it away for a couple of decent counter attacks
Schwartz: 7.5 - Came on, got his goal, could have had another if Chuks put him in

Referee: 8 - no real complaints for me, let the game flow and didn't blow up for soft fouls. Red card was unfortunate but correct I think... and I didn't think so watching in real time.
