This games in hand stuff is just nonsense. Some of those clubs are going to need play 3/4 a week in the coming months to catch up, good luck with the piss thin salary cap restricted squads some of those teams have.

There are 3 "empty" midweeks until the next scheduled lots of sat / tues / sat that start towards the end of Feb.I would imagine the teams around us have already rearranged their matches during this period & so in a months time most teams would have all played roughly the same no of games.
Next week is the EFL Pizza trophy though which knocks out one empty week for 7 L1 clubs, with the semis 2 weeks later (16th/17th February) taking another midweek...

That gives us 3 home games on the trot Northampton, Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers.
Should be able to come out of that with a respectable 2 points.
  • You're optimistic Chris.

Was going to say we do ok against the better clubs but looking at the games with them this season:-

    Doncaster - Lost
    Lincoln - Lost
    Sunderland - Drew
    Ipswich - Won
    Plymouth - Drew
    Pboro - Lost
    Accrington - Lost
    Hull - Lost

Wouldn't look in to the top three games too much, didn't have a squad at that point! The bottom three games weren't great but if we can get Famewo and Inniss back fit and playing going in to that run in then we'll have a much better chance of more positive results
  • Looking at the games we have left, taking into consideration the congested season of our rivals, factoring in the improvements made in our squad, I can’t see us losing another game.

We have certainly made it very difficult for ourselves.  The turn around in form to make play offs with that run in would need to be huge.  Of course, if we managed it then it would set us up nicely as we would likely have beaten our play off rivals on the way.
