What a fantastic story. I knew they were big over there in the late 70s but 77,000 crowds and tables at studio 54, proper showbiz stuff.

No wonder Pele didn't want to be interviewed, $5 million contract in 1974!

I really enjoyed watching it. Me and my brother loved the NASL - or the thought of it. My dad went over to New York and Detroit once for work and got us a shirt each, I had the Detroit Express he had the Cosmos. Also had the Tampa Bay Rowdies subbuteo team.

Like the bit when Pele kicked Rodney Marsh ten foot up in the air, would like to do that myself.
