Purrington: 6 Can understand the backing off to buy time for support from Pearce...but that support was too late in arriving. Shinnie: 6 - Some good passes out wide but didn't have the energy for 90 mins. Very good cross for Stockley's goal. Pratley: 6 - Took up some good positions but the blend with Shinnie wasn't right. Forster-Caskey: 7 - Very energetic and won the ball in some good areas. Millar: 7.5 - Not bad at all and a constant threat but needs to get the ball in the box a bit more. In retrospect, introducing Smith or Albie for JFC may have given us some control of the game and supported a weak defence Referee: 4 - he let Gillingham get away with standing in front of a free kick and preventing us taking it in the first 5 minutes, thereby setting the tone for the rest of the game. It was transparently an Evans tactic and the referee condoned and encouraged it. He actually spoke to one of their players about it just before the end and the guy could barely keep a straight face.
