Today an inform Blackpool rock up at The Valley pretty confident that we will gift them a point or three.
Charitable Charlton's hapless home form donated yet another 3 points that were there for the taking last Tuesday, as our 2nd half showing resembled all the characteristics of a Sunday League pub side.
Fear not, boss Lee Bowyer has a new strategy:
“We need a bit of luck to go our way". Maybe it's come down to that. What would Curbs have done? He'd have gone back to basics - and ensured first the simple things were done well.
It might be a plan, Lee?
No idea who's going to start today. Inniss remains out of the picture for now, along with Gilbey, JFC and anyone else I've forgotten.
Last game, there were 5 changes. Can Bowyer beat his own record for a League game?
Only 3 changes!
Charlton: Amos; Gunter, Famewo, Oshilaja, Purrington; Millar, Pratley, Shinnie, Jaiyesimi; Washington, Stockley.
Subs: Harness, Pearce, Maatsen, Watson, Smith, Aneke, Schwartz.
Charlton till I die? Then buy the stream for a tenner:
Supporters who are yet to purchase a pass for Saturday's game can do so here.
Charlton TV on Valley Pass, "The Scott Minto Show" begins at 2.15pm.
Scottie will be joined by guest pundits Alan Curbishley - and young prospect Kevin Lisbie, hoping not to miss this chance.
Comments
I've done them on and off for a few years now, usually when no one else could be arsed.
Had a decent points haul then ..... but now, well.
Hey, my track record's impressive lately with points on the road!
Gunter Oshilaja Famewo Purrington
Disappointing that "academy day" will feature no academy players (Harness only joined a couple of years ago)
Another different starting strike partnership. Another different formation.
No wonder we always look so disjointed all the time.
Positives:
On paper I feel that's a really strong team, especially if we are playing a flat 4-4-2 (which is the formation we have produced our best performances in IMO.)
Good to see Chris Maxwell back at the Valley - Less said about Sullay Kaikai
Amos
Oshilaja Pratley Famewo
Gunter. Shinnie. Purrington
Jaiyesimi. Millar. Washington
