  • I think it will be a really poor game of football. But I also think we'll score either side of the half, and run out comfortable 2-0 winners.

I'll be happy with a scrappy 2-0 win, let's face it we need to get some points on the table at home, and any win is a goodun at the moment
  • 0 - 2 , a worldy and penalty , terrible ref, we hit the post , Bows blames the kit man for not blowing the balls up enough.
  • I predict a very poor game of football with hardly any shots,  played at the speed of glacial drift.  In fact, rather like 80% of all our previous games this season.

The exciting and talented Millar will continue his steady descent into a startled rabbit in the headlights, Chuks will sulk for being played out of position or not at all, Pearce will watch the ball bounce in front of him before engaging in bouts of mud wrestling, Watson will spray five metre sideways passes with millimetric accuracy, JFC will play with his hair a lot and Pratley will return, only to be sent off again.

Bowyer will blame the ref, the universe, the wage cap, the empty stadium, the opposing manager, his horoscope and global warming.

CL members will be shocked and hurt by the poor result and insist we will have to start a winning run soon to make the play offs.

    0-2
You missed out that one goal will be a goal of the season contender from a guy who's never previously scored in his life, and the other will come from a 30 yard shot that takes a wild deflection off Pearce's arse and wrong foots Amos who slips in the mud trying to get back across goal and the ball bobbles into the far corner.

    Og for Schwartz?
  • Seriously guys, anyone know what’s happened to Morgan. He’d be in my team but he’s not even making the bench. Injured or bombed out?
Well he isn't injured.  Pratley is back for today and Gilbey should be back next week.  Once we can't get in the play offs the manager might want to get Henry involved a bit.

I can't see Morgan playing for us again this season unless we lose 3 or 4 through injury or suspension.
  • 2-0 to the Addicks, Washington and Millar
  • 2-0 Charlton, clean sheet again!
  • Cobblers all around.

    0-4 to Northamptom.

Is this the HT score as they scored 4 against Portsmouth last Saturday in the first 45 minutes.
  • 1 - 0 Charlton......Stockley

Be a difficult game against an organised outfit and beating Pompey 4-0 will have put a nice spring in there step!

Sadly with Morgan, when he gets a chance he doesn't seem to grab it. Maybe he needs a run in the side, but I don't think our major issue in relation to poor results has been Morgan.
I'd agree but then Bowyer drops him next game whether he has had a good game or not.

It's madness and must be demoralising.
Yes, I think that is fair and applies to a number of  our players. If your manager has faith in you, he might say, I'm going to give you a run of games to take the pressure off. But Morgan, rightly or wrongly may not have done enough to earn Bowyer's trust.
  • Rightly, we tend to have a soft spot for "one of our own", but I agree with the poster that said that Albie just hasn't done enough when given an opportunity. We know that LB puts a lot of store in what players show in training; that's the part we don't see. I wonder if Albie isn't doing it there either?

Describing us as an “ex Premiership team” seems a stretch!
I assume he has not been following what goes on in the rest of football.
  • Albie would be starting for me most weeks, lovely footballer.

Agree. How is he supposed to put into practice his learnings without proper game time?

He needs a run of games and seeing as he's been a bit part player since January I am surprised he hasn't gone out on loan again, maybe he'll get some time with the u23s but completely cut from both squads will not help his development.
  • It’ll be a ‘meh’ game, we’ll eke out another point and the atmosphere will be shit.

And he's OUR player too, contracted for another 2 seasons after this

The likes of JFC, Pratley, Shinnie, Smith are all out of contract in June

  • Yes, but Steve Brown and Curbs
  • Not a fan of Albies , although his graft level has improved beyond all belief , I’m not seeing him as a few others do as some sort of midfield playmaker . I think he’s a bit nothingy to me , not that our midfield has been pulling up many trees but I prefer it when he isn’t picked with what we have available
  • Its my birthday tomorrow so surely its got to be a win... right?
  • I fancy us to win this 3-1 which I know is pie in the sky on current form. Team lineup
                                     Amos
    Gunter          pratley           Pearce       maatsen

                                     Watson
                        Smith                   JFC
                                      Millar

                              Stockley  Schwartz

I've got a feeling we'll see Pratley in defence with Pearce tonight as well

If he is there then Oshilaja is definitely the player that Bowyer mentioned after Blackpool

I can't see Famewo starting either, he looked dead on his feet for Saturday, wasn't Maatsen struggling too? Without Famewo I'd rather have Purrington on the left currently if i'm honest as it leaves us more defensively sound and I feel teams are increasingly targetting Maatsen as a weak link, he's been beaten a number of times in the last 2 games.
  • I fancy us to win tonight. Schwartz with a goal as well
