Hope we’ve learned from our mistakes. Press when the wind’s behind you? Amos to use a lower trajectory? Couldn’t do much worse than at Fleetwood.

The bit where we place the ball when taking corners is very grassless and smooth. Match abandoned. Aaaagh!
Well we could lose this time round.
  • First goal wins it 1-0.
  • Our attacking play improves and we score a 3 - 1 victory.
  • It's going to be windy, Shrewsbury have three big lumps at the back, so let's give Washington and Schwarz a chance together up front and keep the ball on the deck. How about giving DJ a run as well?
  • We need to build on this mini-run and keep it going, it wont be easy (no match is), but there seems to be a bit of confidence coming back into the squad.....3-1 Addicks
  • 1-1 for me. We’ll probably show our shortcomings that highlight we’re not strong enough to get the type of results to get out this league

Hope we don’t just start knocking it long to Stockley now.  Seems to be more and more of an option in the last few games.  He’s capable, but it will quickly be sussed out by oppositions if we rely on it too much
  • 3-1 victory today COYA
  • After reading the thread 'Standoff in the Boardroom,' I somehow feel this match result is of less significant than the fact it is actually going ahead, thanks to the hero's that stood up and were counted.
Hope that makes some sort of sense.
    As for the match itself.
Got a feeling L.B. will put out the same side as against Northampton giving Akin more time to recover.
Win 2-0 for Tracey Leaburn and the fab.4.
  • think conditions could make this a very tough game .. Shrewsbury big physical side play 3 at the back could be a very frustrating game ??

Listening to LB got a feeling that anyone over 6 foot will start today .. so expect Pratley in mid with Aneke and Stockley up top ..... think this will only play into Shrewsbury hands so why not go the other way two wingers DJ and Millar with Schwartz and Washington up top .. play around them
    on the floor

  • The way Shrewsbury have been bigged up, I tried to find them on the league table, starting at the top. Then I did find them, sitting at 17th.

Nice to see we have not lost that trait of either going on a run beating the world till the end of season or building up an opposition who sit on 10 wins, 11 draws and 10 losses.

Good idea, except that Stockley and Aneke will be needed to defend set pieces.

Tactics or lucky escape @Dazzler21, looks like game set and match ;)
  • Cue CL comments after the game on whether to invite him back again....win and he’s alright, lose and he’s shite...
That's a given really, and we will probably be inviting him back again by my reckoning
  • Don’t worry, the pink panther biscuits are on order....
  • Could hit 6th today with a win as Pompey not playing (if Ipswich lose or draw or win by less goals than us).
  • Don’t worry, the pink panther biscuits are on order....
Thank goodness. I was beginning to get worried!!
  • Confidence is starting to come back. The football maybe turd but I'm starting to think the 3 game run may become 4.

    2-1 Addicks.
  • 2-1 win and keeps our top 6 push alive for another week or two.

Better than us in the last 6,8,10 and 12 games. Indeed 6th in the league over the last 10 games
