Carol was laid to rest at 2.00pm today, we watched the service via video link.
A lovely service for someone we never got to meet but as my wife Lynne said "it felt like she'd known her for years"
Carol arrived in true Charlton style to the tune of Billy Cotton's "Red, Red Robin" and the family thanked Charlton and in particular Tracey Leaburn for arranging her day at The Valley, she would have also been delighted that goals 2, 3, 4 in the 23's game were being scored as the service took place
I maybe wrong but I believe the club had at least one representative in attendance and I'm sure Carol would have loved that, our brief connection was via our dogs and although Carol was a cat person she was very passionate about what we do and we promised we would "Keep on, keeping on"
Rest in Peace lovely lady, your Charlton family are missing you already. x
