I always liked him as a player, unfortunately he was to old by the time we could have afforded him.

Really sad. Remember him playing (and pretty sure scoring) against us for Pompey in the early to mid-90s, as well as being in my panini world cup 94 sticker album... decent player and the sort of random one who sticks in your head from your formative years... feel like those days were yesterday
