Yesterday CAST had the opportunity of a 121 meeting with Tracey Crouch's Fan-led Review Panel. It was a constructive and engaging meeting and questions and discussion at the end meant it over-ran to 55 minutes, when usually they are very strict on the 45 minute cut-off.
This is the start of our input to the panel - we will follow up with a further written submission. It is also likely that the panel will wish to make more of Lauren Kreamer's first hand knowledge and expertise in the legal areas, where football rules are often in conflict with company law.

This must be absorbing a massive amount of time and effort from you all.
I agree with @Solidgone that we are not out of danger while RD is still hovering in the shadows; the whole issue of football grounds has to be a major part of this enquiry.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
If anyone hasn't joined, this surely shows the value of doing so.
Thanks for kind comments.
We shall have to wait and see if the commission produces anything positive but that's no reason not to engage with the process.
Nice surprise to see a little mention for the museum in there too.
Who knows what will result from this independent review but it's nice to have a seat at the table and to be able to further publicise Charlton's story and proposals for how football governance may be improved.
Some quite major challenges to reform, no doubt - no overnight answers.
It's appalling that it's got to the stage where the rogues are so entrenched in football. We know it's true but still damning to hear the panel say they had already heard so many similar stories. Though ours went further in terms of our direct experience with the court cases.
Still makes me shudder when I think what would have become of us if it wasn't for Thomas' decision to invest in English football and to conclude that we were the club for him.
Thanks to everyone who attended!!
Side note, I can't emphasise enough how strict ministers private office are with their diaries so to get 10 mins extra is huge.
The facts were clearly presented in such a way that the attention of Tracey Crouch and her colleagues was immediate and the meeting's duration extended as a result. Quite a coup !
But, above all, I believe that the Panel was impressed with the way that our group spoke so eloquently of the importance of supporters - the true life blood of our clubs - and the impotence felt by all concerned when faced with their possible demise. As fans themselves, they spoke from the heart on behalf of all Addicks and I'm certain that the battles we have fought together in the past was recognised by those on the other side of the table.
Heather, Heather, Lauren and Nigel.
You have our heartfelt gratitude for the hours you have committed to "the cause".
Heroes One and All.
Makes one proud to be an Addick.
If I can do half as much I’d be happy, but I’m sure my colleagues will want more out of me than that!
