The following protocols will be put in place for the commencement of the new 2021/22 season at The Valley. These protocols may change during the course of the season should the government or league regulations determine the need to do so.
The club will continue to display signage in relation to symptoms of Covid outside of each turnstile block. This signage will be supported by staff from the Charlton Athletic Community Trust’ advising supporters what to do should any fan have these symptoms.
Signage will be displayed advising fans who have any concerns to wear masks for their own protection. The wearing of masks will not be enforced inside the stadium.
The club encourages fans to undertake testing in advance of attending matches at The Valley, and for any fan who tests positive not to attend, thus reducing the risks to their fellow supporters.
Staff who test positive should not attend work and should self-isolate.
From August 16th, fans who have been fully vaccinated (with two doses of an MHRA approved vaccine, at least 14 days previously) will no longer be required by law to self-isolate if they are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for Covid. The Royal Greenwich Public Health Team recommends that they do, in particular if they share a household with or care for someone who has tested positive.
The ticket office will reserve two blocks, one in the Alan Curbishley Stand, and one in the West Stand where supporters who prefer to wear masks throughout the event, will be able to do so. Supporters who wish to take this up should contact the ticket office in advance of game.
On entry to the turnstiles, no temperature checks will be taken. Sanitising units for the cleaning of hands will be available.
All kiosks on the concourse areas will be operational. Fans are requested to queue in an orderly fashion and to try and observe social distancing where possible.
Increased ventilation in kiosks will be maintained where possible whilst not contravening fire and food safety. Where physical distancing is not practical, masks will be continued to be worn by all staff.
We will be taking contactless/card payments only within the stadium – there will be no cash transactions.
All hospitality areas will be open. Staff when communicating with guests in lounges will be encouraged to maintain a physical distance of at least one metre. Where physical distancing is not practical, masks will be continued to be worn by all staff.
In any areas where a one-way system is not practical then staff will be encouraged to pass back-to-back. We will be taking contactless/card payments only
All toilets on the concourse areas will be operational, and fans are requested to queue in an orderly fashion and to try and observe social distancing where possible
Supporters who use the lifts to access their seats inside the stadium should be aware that the lifts will have a maximum two person capacity, and masks must be worn whilst inside the lifts.
The club shop will be open on home matchdays and fans are requested to queue in an orderly fashion and to try and observe social distancing where possible. There will be a hand sanitiser station on the entrance. The wearing of face masks in the shop will be optional.
The club shop will impose a maximum number of 60 fans allowed inside the shop at any one-time. Payment instore will be by credit/debit card transactions only.
We will be operating both a Red Zone, and a Purple Zone.

The Purple zone is for the exclusive use of the media and includes access to their seating areas and lounge. Occupancy levels for social distancing will be in place.
The wearing of masks for all staff is optional unless they have access to the red zone, then masks must be worn.
All tunnel staff must wear a mask at all times and must take a lateral flow test the day before the game. Any steward that has duties pitchside must wear a mask at all times.

think it’s a good idea having mask only blocks so those who are concerned about non masking wearing have the option and dont miss out.
OR we pick yet another thing to moan about regards the club, even though this is something they really had no obligation to do.
Should?
We're double jabbed block covered End, we're the double jab block covered End.
Joking aside, sensible stuff from the club.
Lol, good luck with this one.
