I think we’re gonna play a lot better than a lot of doom and gloomers think. A big hole in our side last season was Watson, Pratley, Shinnie etc playing statues in the middle of the park.

Dobson and Clare will not allow that back line of Inniss and Famewo to be got at easily. That’s the base for Morgan, DJ, Washington and Stockley to do their thing without concern in the final third.

Can we still use 5 subs or is it back to 3?
    Back to 3.
    5 in the Championship ?
  • We've added two very ordinary signings to the remains of last season's squad.

    I fear the worst.
!remind me of this comment at the end of the season please.

However did teams come back from behind in the days of no substitutes???

It’s not ideal but reinforcements are on the way

He’s on the telly walking across the pitch playing along to Valley Floyd road.  The presenters are being kind.  I dunno whether to laugh or cry?  How’s he going down at the ground?

    What a bench
Be fair. If we have an injury to Famewo we are well covered with 2 left sided central defenders.

Our squad and bench is significantly weaker than last season in a tougher league. May be doom and gloom or may just be realistic.

If Adkins gets this current squad promoted outside of this league he'll have worked wonders.

Of course we may make some great signings before window closes but not guaranteed and season starts today.

After a full summer to prepare it's a bit concerning if promotion is the goal with this set of players.

If any of you are planning on watching via NowTV and haven't used it for a while, I'd log in now, as I've only just got in cos I had to download an update to the NowTV player first.

As expected, good starting 11, not a lot on the bench. Albie is going to have to find some consistency while Gilbey is struggling with Covid. We know there’s more signings to come before the window closes so we just have to hope we don’t get injuries before then. I’d rather be waiting and getting the right kind of players in than getting in players like Bogle because we have to again

Same here. Some things never change, this club is never ready for the start of a season.

Suddenly I’m quite pleased the sound isn’t working on Valley Pass.

Thrilled to hear we are 4-3-3. I think we should play that way every match and also drive it through our Academy, a la Barcelona and Ajax.
