Cant believe after all this time the Stones line up for so long has been broken. Love a Rolling Stones gig - a special feel to them. RIP and thanks for all the memories.

To be fair Jones died in 1969 and Wyman left too.
Charlie was 80 and wasn't going to tour with them this year anyway.

Ah I didnt know he wasnt going to tour this year. I guess in my time seeing them (only since the early / mid 90s) it has been the line up that I grew up with.
Charlie was a great drummer, played sparingly, a lover of jazz. Does this mean the end of The Stones too? Was lucky enough to see them twice in ‘76 (Earls Court and Knebworth), from across the river at the Isle of Wight Festival and also at the London Stadium. As good now as they were back then and at the root of it all was Charlie’s drumming. Their performance at the Isle of Wight Festival was loose at the very least, Charlie held it all together. RIP

Never the greatest drummer, but what a career.
A legend, the beating heart of the world's greatest ever rock band.
RIP Charlie
Thanks for the memories.
