Personally chuffed as I felt we almost owed him something because of the way he tried to offer some measure of player leadership when they all faced the absolute carnage at the very nadir of the Meire Administration.
Logically he still has something to offer but judging by some comments he may not yet be where he needs to be in performance terms. We shall but see.

Short of an injury to McG he's not going to be getting on the pitch any time soon anyway.
When his bio said "Born in Dublin, Henderson began his youth career at Belvedere before joining Aston Villa in 2005" I thought they meant to the club in Woolwich Road...
Don't think we'll get anyone else in, when fit we have 2 for every position, including in a 433, 442 or a 4231
Only thing they might decide is if Schwartz or Davison can be improved upon from the free agent market, but I'm not convinced anyone out there meets the criteria within the budget

Hendo was badly let down by management last time he was here. Fronted up to the media when Fraeye was hiding in a laundry basket.
Delighted to have him back and hopefully with his Charlton Irish badge still in place
And then came the 6-0 at Hull. Those were dark days. Surprising that he must have 'some' fond memories at Charlton, or he had no other/ better options.

Belvedere have been a bit of a factory for Professional footballers historically.
Henderson comes from a goalkeeping family, his father and grandfather and two uncles all played professionally. Stephen probably had the most success but Wayne was with Villa for a few years. His dad still coaches in Ireland and was relatively successful with Cobh Ramblers in Cork, getting them to the LOI Premier Division for a season which was pretty impressive for a town of about 10k.
Not played much first team football in recent seasons.
As that’s two free agents now I assume that’s us done until January.
Hopefully it means one of the young keepers can go out on loan and play (unlike AMB so far).
For the moaners worried they have nothing to moan about how about a conspiracy that we’re signing a lot of players with links to the club to keep the fans happy, but most aren’t actually good enough?

Adkins Jackson - lead character in a 70s B-movie about a no nonsense Somerset copper who is seconded to the Detroit Police department. Fun fact: Lee Morgan cameos in the film as a wisecracking pusher-man .
Great stuff @Chizz. Attempted Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery etc
@Chizz Superb individual skill and dexterity to get the East and West stands, off their backsides in a standing ovation as your Maradonaesque run from deep inside your own half with delightful nut megs, sublime step overs, and brilliant body swerves before the majestic Rabona which bamboozled the keeper who was left bedazzled as the ball ended up in the Covered end net.

You may have fallen into the trap of only looking up the men's Boat Race crews.
Comments
Slightly surprised by the timing, why sign him now as he's been around the place for several weeks?
Logically he still has something to offer but judging by some comments he may not yet be where he needs to be in performance terms. We shall but see.

Really pleased with this signing, I liked him a lot last time round and was sorry to see him go.
