Ben Watson has played well and look at the balance Ben Purrington brings to the team.
Great goal by Elliot Lee.
Just need to stop falling back. The pressing game of the first half hour was exceptional. Other than Crawley that's the best half this season. And about time too.
Best two games this season are against the worst two sides we've played.
Looks like we've found our level really. Lets wait until we perform against a better side.
Saturday could be an interesting game.
Portsmouth made a very strong start to the season yet was dubious because their four wins all came against teams in the bottom four at the time.
They're beating Plymouth at the moment but feels like Charlton and Pompey are very much in the same boat at the moment where we're both struggling against the better sides.
Yeah he is fantastic. A bit like a more mobile Shinnie.
No surprise that Morgan looks a better player with him in the team.
Yes Morgan deserves no praise for upping his performance.
Dazzler I'm saying having a player like Lee in the team, pulling the strings, is letting Morgan play his natural game which he is clearly pretty effective at doing.
I don't see what your issue with my original comment is at all.
Why does Watson get so much flack on here…just because ex-Palace? Not fast but his reading of the game, positioning, interceptions, and some of his cross balls…deserves to be there. I’ll await the LoLs from the biased…
Matthews Lavelle Famewo Souare Morgan Arter CBT Kirk
Lee
Washington
This removes Stockley's head, can play it through the middle and push the ball out wide, whip some low balls in for Washington and Lee to run onto. Sounds good in theory but then I'm just a random bloke on the internet and not a coach.
Whatever happens, 1-2 win
Ohhhh wasn't far off, maybe I'm a coach after all!
Only halfway home though. Obviously CBT has been excellent, as has our Lee. But special shout to Watson, who has won his fair share of headers and moved the ball quickly, and to Albie Morgan who has had some excellent long range passes and who has hunted the ball down when defending.
Gills will change things in the second half. We need to just keep doing what we've been doing, mid range pressing and springing lightning quick counters. And then just looking to keep the ball and move it quickly.

He does alright if he's got space to dictate games at this level as he can show his quality - A lot of teams have a player though who gets in his face, are younger and fitter (like what we saw with Fraser when MK played at the Valley last season) which shows his age

It's not giving any praise to Morgan who is out there working his bollocks off and performing really quite well tonight. Not my MoTM so far but certainly one of our better players today.
We got excited when we hammered Crawley. Turned out well.
Need to see more than 1 game before I think we've turned it around.
CBT | Lee | Davison all played in that Crawley game, were excellent and are proving to be very good again this evening - Only Lee has started a game since then
Watson is playing in the role he had in the 2nd half for Forest against us 2 years ago. The only other time I have seen him play like that for us was the second half v afcw last season.
Comments
Our defence still looks a bit shaky, lucky for us Gills are absolutely woeful.
Lee, CBT and Davison linking up well.
morgan huge improvement from recent times
lavelle has looked v solid and impressive
lee just class and cbt washington always dangerous
with kirk stockley and leko to poss bring on at some stage to switch things up and cause more damage its looking good

Gonna get difficult last 15 minutes or so if we are only a goal ahead and Gillingham really start pumping the ball forwards.
Gills are shit
We got to finish them off
Washington and Davison have done the least but been busy even if pony
everyone else has done well
65% Charlton win
30% draw
5% the unwashed win
Need to see more than 1 game before I think we've turned it around.

He isn't a holding midfielder.
