Haven't got a clue why Gillingham are playing so high, CBT has acres of space to run into every time - Surely they'll have learnt after the first couple of occasions
So it's taken a while but it seems that someone somewhere has finally had the brainwave that if you shoot on target you might even score. Who'dve thought it.
The thinsg is, there is no reason we can't play like this with Stockley - it's not like Davison has been pivotal to this.
True, though I will say one thing that has suprised me about Davison this year is he looks a lot quicker and more mobile then I can remember. So off the ball he is spreading their defence more then say Stockley would.

23' 0-1 Free-kick to #Gills just inside the Charlton half on the far side of the field.
Jason Pearce with a solid header gets it away and Charlton work the ball from left to right in the midfield.
CBT is all instinct and it's all coming off for him tonight. You can see how on another night it could all be going the other way and he might look dreadful. Exciting to watch when it's working though.

Max Ehmer (Gillingham) wins a free kick on the left wing.
Shame we cant merge them into one player
The midfielders have so many more options now for forward passes
He could also have added: "... although if it had been Pearce with the challenge Stroud would have brought out a straight red."
