The power supply to my laptop failed this morning with the battery draining overnight. My first worry was how I would be able to post this week's fixtures. Typing them in on my phone seemed an unattractive prospect. I took the computer to Currys who confirmed that it was something wrong inside the computer itself. They offered to send it away for ten weeks for a charge of £60 for this and £50 for that and possibly another £70 if something was actually wrong with it - plus VAT, of course. I bought a new computer this morning, a smart new desktop that I had looked at a week or so ago. Having set up the new computer, I could access my backups and post this week's fixtures. I decided to plug in the dead computer just in case it worked. It did! So, here I am posting this week's fixtures from a laptop that was playing dead this morning.
