There are some wonderful people coming up with great ideas, and the programmes have been fascinating. I do worry though that the consumer/business partnership that is focussed on won't be enough to save the planet. Sadly, I think that much tougher restrictions and actions will be needed and these will never become the norm because they will be universally unpopular.
By coincidence, I watched last night an episode I recorded a week or so ago. I think it's great but given the importance of the projects, are enough projects (five a year) being funded, and is a million quid really enough?
The programme claims (correctly imo) that we must find solutions this decade, that it is a pivotal moment in human history, but will only give 50 million pounds during the whole decade. Have I misunderstood or are they incredibly naive? Please tell me it's the former.
