The second picture oppo is Millwall and I’d say it was at the old den. Not sure of our player though

Yep, pretty certain you are right.  My first longer-distance away, Arthur Horsfield got the winner after Killer missed an absolute sitter (he wasn't quite so reliable at that point)

Could be, here's an old picture of Fellows Park.

Yes, Possee and King ... plus Barry Kitchener.

Don't recognise the other player.  Is it definitely Millwall v Charlton, or could this just be Tom Morris doing Millwall in his spare time?

And, yes, third picture is Peter Hunt.

2 could be Matt Tees, though he doesn't look skinny enough?

Not Glover, not Tees, not Crawford.

I'm not sure he is one of ours.

3 Peter Hunt v Peterborough probably at Peterborough.

I don't think 2 is us........ short sleeves and a hoop around the sock suggest its not our all red kit.

Agreed that game does not involve Charlton Athletic

@Henry Irving, does the museum now have access to Tom Morris's archive (or bits of it?).

If so then where do you start? would love to see some pics of the big crowds of the 70's at The Valley - QPR and West Ham in the League Cup, and the win over Preston. Massive games but I've never seen any pictures from them...

The pictures from those games are not great because of the lights at the time and presumably the cameras too. That’s why they don’t get reproduced much.

    Bobby Goldthorpe's equaliser v Preston

    Hales makes it 2-1

    Hales makes it three

  • Bobby Goldthorpe's equaliser v Preston

    Brilliant - thanks....
  • Another one of those games when the biggest capacity league ground in the country was only a third full.
