Former Rangers, Everton and Scotland manager Walter Smith has died at the age of 73.
Smith achieved legendary status at Ibrox, with 21 trophies in two spells making him the second most successful Rangers boss ever behind Bill Struth.
He won the latter seven titles of Rangers' nine-in-a-row run in the 1990s and returned to Ibrox in 2007.
Between those stints, he had four years at Everton and two with Scotland before being enticed back to the Glasgow club.
His second spell in charge delivered three more titles and a Uefa Cup final appearance, in 2008.

Believe Ronaldo has a lot to thank him for - Smith instigated "no foul" training at Man U under Fergie to toughen up the young Portuguese winger. I still reckon Kish inspired that.

A great manager and by all accounts a nice guy.
Many memorable moments.
Was the manager when Rangers won the Battle of Britain 2 legged tie against the champions of England. Reached the equivalent of the semi final of the European Cup finishing second in the group where the winner of which played in the final. Second to a Marseille team which had a fund for buying matches.
Completed 9-in-a-row
And that run to the European Final. Will always remember the scenes on walking out of Manchester Piccadilly and seeing Rangers everywhere
My uncle was a massive Rangers fan and I grew up around that era with those amazing players and lets face it, an old firm derby is a spectacle so Rangers I would say were my "Second Team"
That story about Ronaldo is amazing aswell!

As someone who also follows Celtic, he totally dominated them during his reign there, but always a gentleman. He, with Ally McCoist, attended Tommy Burns funeral and both stepped in to help carry his coffin into the church. A good man, sadly gone. Hopefully enjoying a nice glass of red with Tommy now.
Glasgow Rangers legend.
