The injury situation never improves at Cafc. We just need to scrape and get to the end of this disappointing season. With Stockley and Washington playing in a two with Aneke for Jayden and Mason for Conor coming off the bench then we would have continued to improve. Still believe we would have reached 8th. I did stay if the injuries continue then more like 18th. The latter is more likely.
We will probably screw Kanu career like we did to Grant for a couple of years by playing him at 17, Needs must and managers of this club continue to pick the team after the medics have ruled players out.
Getting a little tired of the’ players are giving me everything’ quote, clearly that isn’t the case, we started to get results when they did, we can all see with our own eyes the difference from when he was caretaker to now manager. But at least there is the excuse of missing players. I’m really not having a go at JJ, but please don’t try and pull the wool over our eyes.
And the bit about showing a bit of grit and toughness now, as if it’s not been needed in the previous games.
Surely these qualities are a given and the least we expect, seeing as over the years that’s the reputation we as a club have built our foundations on. All sounds a bit cliche to me now, we’ve heard it so many times.
poor ol JJ has been reduced to spouting worn out old clichés .. I do wonder if he's too nice, too pally and not hard enough with his players, has it all got a bit too cozy
At least Stockleys back. Maybe wont play much of a part on Saturday but next Saturday should hopefully start.
Re the pitch - it looked awful 2 weeks ago when they played Rotherham & its only got worse since. Likely to be heavy & bound to cut up. Not the time to be playing tippy tappy stuff - just play hoof ball. Maybe put Innis up front & get Burstow/Leko/whoever to get the knock downs.

Can’t argue with that imo. I know a lot of people have started to look at Jackson and question if he’s right for the job, but I believe it’s only fair to start to judge him on what happens from the summer onward

So we don't judge him on the wins either then?
Personally think the summer is his biggest test yet.

I am hoping that his decision to stick with his preferred formation is his challenge to the players to ask if they can play for him next season. It is clear that some have not been able to rise to the challenge and will be moved on. From what TS was saying last night I got the impression that they are all on the same page going forward so it will be an interesting summer. Really looking forward to see a JJ team play.
methinks the 'frank exchanges' should have taken place weeks ago .. JJ has allowed thinks to drift .. not helped by injuries, but his recent selections have been eccentric and inconsistent .. Accrington will be a serious test, their home form is decent and they are always up for a bit of argy bargy (thanks Bill McLaren)
He needs the chance to show what he can do with support and backing. We can't keep changing managers. I suspect from what has been said, if he fails he will be easy to get rid of. I honestly expect him to succeed as long as he is backed.

Poison chalice of a job.
