Solid Charlton first half. Dominated by the double sending off. Stockley has to stop the flailing arms nonsense. Will leave our game plan weaker losing him for three games. Davison isn't winning many of the long ball headers so we will need to tweak things formation wise I think.
I've a feeling someone else will go off this half.
I see Davison has taken over the Stockley role: getting man-handled by the centre-back, shirt being pulled all over the place, and then conceding the free kick for looking in a threatening tone of voice ...
Problem with Purrington was he came in and was a solid 6.5-7/10 player every game. He was then compared unfavourably to flashier but more erratic left backs like Dasilva and Maatsen. As he showed in the Playoff Final and a couple of times in recent games, he's actually quite potent going forwards, but under Bowyer and then Adkins, his game was to sit back and not overlap when he played, but being a wingback gives him the freedom to push forwards more
At the moment, this has Burton late equaliser written all over it. Struggling to think what changes to make though. Blackett-Taylor won't do the defensive work that DJ has been doing

Now that Stockers is suspended for the next few matches I've got him partnering Davison or Washy.
