Did a good job going to get the advice of his colleague then - Too many linesman spend the afternoon doing very little other than raising their flag controversially.

I think he ruined it for himself by not getting the full story before sending Jayden off. If he was going to go for level punishment for both players, perhaps two yellows would’ve been more appropriate. I was personally expecting one red one yellow though. Maybe it was more obvious from the lino’s angle that Deji was deserving of the red card.
